I love you

Chapter Eight, . . . . Bennett stood there shocked. He wasn’t expecting the girl who rejected his kiss will come to his room while being deeply drunk and will kiss him out off nowhere. Jules pulled away and look right into Bennett’s eyes. She wasn’t sure that was it the alcohol which made her do this, or she wanted to this but as unable to do in sober state. Bennett pulled her closer to his chest. So close that there was no space left between them. He softly placed a hand on Jules cheek and kissed her back. And why would he not, after all she belonged to him, and there was no way that he would let Bryant marry her. Minutes later when Bennett realized that Jules is running out of breath, so he pulled away. “What are you doing here?”, Bennett asked softly, still Jules in his arms. “Oh, I was going to ask you that, What are you doing in my room?, and why did you kiss me?, I said you not to kiss me, Jerk”, Jules said hitting his chest softly. Bennett glared at Jules and chuckled. “How much did you drink?”, he asked. “I didn’t drink, look I am perfectly sober”, Jules said licking her lips. “Oh is that so?, then you kiss- no, I mean July gave in when I kissed you?”, Bennett asked playfully. “Should I tell you something?”, Jules asked in a serious tone. Bennett nodded, not knowing what was going to come next. “I feel safe with you, I don’t know why, I just do”, Jules said. Bennett smiled on her words. His late mother used to say that “true love never changes, no matter what”, and yes it was true Bennett thought recalling his mother warm words. True love never changes, nor does the lover. “Do you like me?”, Bennett asked. Jules smiled on his question. She wanted to say yes I like you, and I want to date you, kiss you, spend time with you, but she didn’t say. She didn’t say all that she wanted to say because she wasn’t allowed to say. After all, she was soon going to get married. “I am getting married, so I can’t like you”, she smiled again. “I think you should go”, she said, removing her self from Bennett’s warm embrace. But Bennett pulled her back to where she belonged, right in his arms. “Yes, you are getting married but to me, I don’t think there’s something wrong in liking your future husband”, Bennett said flashing a big smile. “Are you drunk?”, Jules asked and Bennett laughed. How could she ask him that, after all she was the one who was drunk. “Yes, I am, I am drunk in your love”, Bennett said cheekily. But before he could hear a reply from Jules, be realized that Jules had passed out in his arms. Her head was resting on his chest and her hand was on his shoulder, gripping it tightly as she was afraid of letting him go away from her. Bennett picked Jules in bridal style and laid her softly on his bed. He covered her cold body using the think duvet and kissed softly on the forehead. “I love you”, he said one last time before laying next to her and closing his eyes. . . . . hey readers, since today was a happy day so i decided to update a chapter today. ?✨ Happy reading, Borahae.
