Ian watched Lizzie go into the store and sighed. He tried to focus, to bring back the vision he saw back at his childhood home. But he couldn’t. All he could think about was taking Lizzie back to the compound. That was the best way to keep her safe. He put the fuel nozzle back in place, and his head snapped toward the store when he heard the commotion. He sprinted over and was in the store within seconds. He spotted Lizzie at the far side of the store, her back against the wall, her hands clutched around the hands strangling her. He cursed and dashed forward.
