chapter one

WHO IS ZARA?

Zara!Zara! Ahn Ahn Zaraa..! where is this girl,I thought I was supposed to meet her at home. Zara! MUMMY she left the house already and we've all been searching for her to no avail since morning, replied a young lady of about 22 years of age, with her baby in her arms. MUMMY is Zara's aunt and this is Zara's story...

Zara is a very beautiful young black girl of about thirteen years of age.she grew up with her aunt in Kano State in the northern part of Nigeria. Zara's biological parents had a divorce when she was three years old,since then Zara grew up with her aunt.zara's father was Mallam Mohammad,a well known Islamic teacher.mll moh'd has two wives, Zara's mother Aisha and her Co wife Amina. Aisha gave birth to five children for mll moh'd, his degree education, life became hard and unbearable for him and so his joblessness led to his constant anger over little things and he became violent to his family.Abubakar, Khadija,Sadiq,Zara and Hamis. The second wife Amina gave birth to four children, Isah,Rahama, Abdulkadir and bilkisu.

mll moh'd was living a good life and loved his family dearly until he lost his job and also couldn't finished his degree education and lost help from his siblings.

chapter two

Zara's childhood story.

mll moh'd has four siblings but only two are wealthy and blessed, so one of his sisters heard about his divorce and came to visit him and talk to him about the divorce but he wouldn't listen or go back into the marriage with his wife anymore.she decided to let him be and took his two daughters back to her husband's house in Niger State,where she lives,there and then the two girls knew there life would change for good or worst. she took Zara who was three years old and her elder sister who was fifteen years of age.

Zara was put in school by her aunt,she attended hayyas nursery school in Tunga Minna, there she did her nursery one to three and was later changed to a private school where she did her primary one to four, Zara was changed to another school where she completed her primary education, Bamaiyi Sai Allah school also in Tunga Minna. Zara was so quiet and hardly play with her mate. she spoke only few words and spoke only to her elder sister. she was so scared of her aunt because she uses grinding machine engine belt to beat her at a young age if she makes little mistakes, Zara became use to beating that she hardly feels pain while beaten.

Zara was admitted in a boarding school,it was supposed to be a way of getting rid of her at home and punishing her but there the little girl found comfort.

chapter three

Boarding school

Zara got admission in federal government college Minna, she started the school on the 12/Nov/2012. she was given two house wears and two uniform. she was so happy but was hiding it from her aunt, she was taken to her hostel which was the Red house.she was given the up bunk and a locker where she could put some of her belongings, she set up her belongings and was ready for her classes and making New friends though she's not good at making friends.

It was five o'clock in the evening, that was the time for dinner at the school dinning Hall. Zara got up from the bed and started to prepare for the dinner when a fat young lady of about eighteen years of age came into the room and saw her, Zara thought to herself that "she must be a senior" so she quickly turned her face and look away to avoid a conversation. the senior known as senior Cynthia looked at her and fixed her gaze on Zara's movements before calling her. hey you!

New student!

Cynthia kept calling zara but she ignored Cynthia and pretended not to hear her, right then a girl by name nafisat came into the room and Cynthia asked nafisat to call Zara for her but Zara walked out on them both. she went for her dinner and came back to the hostel by 7:00pm, she met alot of people in her room when she returned and that's when she also met her bunk mate, immediately she enters the room she heard Cynthia calling on the room members "the last girl in this room..5,4,3,2,2,2,1" who is the last person? she asked and one of the girls replied, it's the new girl" come here" Cynthia yelled , Zara moved a bit closer to Cynthia's bed where she sat without uttering a word. The senior looked at her and asked her, what's your name? my name is Zara she replied without blinking her eyes looking straight into Cynthia's eyes.

Cynthia asked others to go, while Zara should be on her kneels and raise her hands up,Zara looked at her surprised and asked what's her offence? Right there and then Cynthia developed hatred for Zara because of her audacity and fearless attitude unlike other kids that get intimidated easily, Cynthia got angry and brought out her "Pinky's ( a broken rubber part of hanger for clothes) used by the seniors to beat the junior ones in boarding school. Cynthia asked Zara to stretch her hands for lashes but Zara refused insisting on knowing her offence first before being bullied innocently. other kids in the room were surprised by Zara's boldness and courage to talk to a senior but deep down some pitied her because they knew she's in big trouble for going against a senior. Cynthia observed that Zara has no fear in her so she decided to use a tricky way to punish her, Cynthia asked Zara to go to her friend in the green house and help her to collect her book titled " journey never ends" Zara immediately lightened up and

was happy to go help Cynthia get her story book from Cynthia's friend at the green hostel.zara pleaded with Cynthia to let her read the book when she's done reading it, Cynthia smiled wickedly and said "ok baby girl,go get the book for us".

CHAPTER FOUR

THE RULES

Zara went to the green hostel and found Cynthia's friend's room, she immediately greeted the senior and delivered Cynthia's message but to her surprise, the senior laughed and said "so smally you are the Zara, the new stubborn student" okay bring your hands Zara stretched her hands only to hit by pain as the rubber pinky hit her soft palms and she looked at the senior and said," but why did you hit me?

what did I do wrong? Don't worry Zara uhn! the story book is not with me but I will direct you to the person I gave the book okay? Go to yellow hostel room five and ask of Hussaina Abdullahi ask her to give you Cynthia's book "journey never end" is that clear? yes senior Zara replied and went to the yellow house hostel.

Excuse me hear, hello good evening she greeted a girl of same age with her, yeah.. how may I help you? the girl asked Zara looking at her weirdly, Ehm.. please I am looking for Hussaina Abdullahi, do you know her? The girl in yellow house wear looked at Zara and corrected her immediately, You should call her senior Hussaina if u don't want there trouble, though she's the one on that last bunk eating. Zara thanked her and went to see hussaina. Good evening senior,she greeted only to be met by a cold stare,
