CHAPTER 3
Manny picked a spot close to the waterfalls to have their picnic. They got out of the car, and Mona stood gazing at the falls as Manny went to the back of his car to get the blanket and a large picnic basket.
Mona went over to help him spread the blanket for them to sit on. After the blanket was spread, Manny sat the basket in the center of it.
“Wow, that’s a big basket. Did you fix it?” asked Mona.
“No, I called Lou’s and had it prepared for me. I went in to pick it up before I came to your house,” said Manny.
“I could have fixed us a lunch,” protested Mona.
“I know, but I wanted you to relax and enjoy yourself,” said Manny. “Do you want to eat first or explore first?” asked Manny.
