CHAPTER 5
They found Glen in the dining room when they went inside. He was doing his homework.
“Hi, Glen,” said Mona, giving him a hug.
“Hi. Hello, Mr. McCray,” said Glen.
“Hello, Glen,” said Manny.
“Are the girls in their rooms?” asked Mona.
“Yes, they don’t like being in here,” said Glen.
Mona looked at Glen and frowned. She didn’t like him being by himself so much. She was worried about him.
“Did you have something to eat?” she asked.
“I made me a sandwich,” said Glen.
Manny could see Mona was bothered about Glen being by himself. “Didn’t you say Captain Donaldson was going to have his boys there tonight?” asked Manny.
“Yes, he is,” said Mona, looking at Manny while she got out the corn popper.
