CHAPTER 6
Mona came down the next morning to find Giles in the kitchen. He had made breakfast and was putting it on the table. The girls and Glen were sitting at the table eating. They were ready for school. Mona told everyone good morning and took a plate and filled it with eggs, bacon, and toast. She had a glass of orange juice to drink.
“This is good, thanks, Giles,” said Mona.
“You’re welcome,” said Giles with a smile.
They heard the bus blow its horn, and the kids hurried outside. Giles followed them out and watched them get on the bus. When he came back inside, Mona had finished her breakfast and was enjoying a cup of coffee.
