CHAPTER 1

Rose's POV

ONE WEEK LATER

Beep

Beep

Beep

CRASH

Shit! that's the fifth alarm clock I broke this week, but who cares I get to sleep now. I mean who would want to wake up at 7 in the morning and go listen to our wonderful teachers' morning lessons...My guess , no one. With that thought in my mind, I close my eyes and land in the world of unicorns and flying pigs. 

"ROSE MARIA WINTERS, GET YOUR ASS UP NOW!!" , spoke the loud annoying voice of my one and only twin brother Ryan. Don't get me wrong , I love my brother to death but times like these is where I want to strangle him. 

"No , go away let me sleep", I shout from my room.

 "Fine , don't wake up but don't blame me for making you late , by the way just so you know school starts in 20 mins." 

"OH no no no no, I am late, I am late, s**t!" , I keep mumbling while jumping out of bed and running to the bathroom , that's attached to my room . I brush my teeth and take a quick shower , then run to my walk in closet and pick out a casual outfit .

I wear light makeup, because I seriously don't like dolling up for school, I mean it's just school. My make up consists of eyeliner, mascara and nude lipstick.  I then pick my bag up while collecting my phone and keys. After that, I look in the mirror , I am actually satisfied with how I look today I had just put my light brown hair up in a messy bun and wore cute diamond earrings.

My hourglass figure looks perfect with this outfit and I kinda look cute. Glancing one last time in the mirror I run downstairs and see my brother waiting near the door while scrolling on his phone. 

"Let's go." I announce as reach the last step of the stairs. 

"Finally , I thought i had to leave your lazy ass here. Now come on" Ryan says as he keeps his phone in his pocket and picks the keys of his BMW. 

I nod while quickly grabbing an apple and run outside . I sit in the passenger seat and look out the window as soft music keeps playing in the background. My brother was already in the drivers seat and in no time we're on the road on the way to school.

Now you must be wondering where our parents are? Well my father is a famous businessman and his company is the biggest company in America , so he usually goes on business trips and is rarely at home. He does love us and is over protective of me like Ryan but it's hard to find time as he is a very busy man. After college Ryan will take over the company as he is the heir , because he is 10 mins older than me. As for our mum , well she is a cheater . 

I hate her so much , she and my dad were high school sweethearts , they were so in love. My dad proposed her when she became pregnant with Ryan and I. They were in college at that time , time passed we came and it was like happily ever after for them. But my dad became busy as he had to go on business trips and worked so hard to make the company successful. he tried his best to make time for the three of us, I was so proud of my dad but my mom started cheating on him and became pregnant by some rich billonare , she claimed it was my dad's but dad knew she cheated , so they had a big fight one night in which she said I quote 'you're not enough , I don't wanna live in this dumpster' and with that she went with the father of the child she was pregnant with. We were just 10 back then but she never gave us second glance and for that I will never in my whole life forgive her. 

My dad become depressed and started becoming a workaholic , he never showed it to us but I knew when he used to cry every night . But slowly every thing fell back in place , the company became Number 1 and we became loaded , though I never show off or brag about it . My dad also found love again , Anna , she is so sweet and caring , just like a mother figure to me . She came in my dad's life as his personal assistant and slowly they fell in love . They are actually going to marry next year and I couldn't be happier.

I remember when I was 11 my Mother came back when she found my dad became rich, she begged him to take her back. He obviously said no and told her to go back to her child and 'lover' but she clearly like a piece of s**t she is, said she aborted that child as the father of it threw her out , she had nowhere to go. I was so furious as to how can a mother kill her own child , my dad was so mad at her that he threatened her if she ever came back , he will call the police . He threw her out of the house after giving her some money so she has a place to stay and lucky to say. We never saw her again.

I came out of my thoughts when my brother snapped his fingers in front of me . I looked around and we were already in front of River dale high school. 

" I've been calling you for the past 5 mins, you literally zoned out. Are you ok?" , Ryan says worriedly.

" Yes, just lost in my thoughts." , I say.

"Don't ever do that , I thought something happened. You scared me." 

"ok , ok but Ryan i think were late classes start in 5 mins." I sai on the verge of panicking.

"Fine , now let's go." Ryan says getting out of the car. As soon as we step out people stop whatever they're doing and gawk , boys at me or the car , girls totally at my brother . I mean yeah he's hot and all but that's disgusting , atleast to me. I become uncomfortable as i am the one that hates attention. Unlike me Ryan loves attention , though he is cold towards others , he enjoys it.

So , like the good sister I am, I pull Ryan inside with me. "I am going to class, okay?" , I ask when we reach inside. 

"ok, I am going as well do you want me to drop you to your class?" , Ryan asks.

"No , both of us already late , I'll see you at third period." , I say. Me and Ryan only have third period , P.E. and lunch together. Today there is no P.E. so we only have third hour and lunch together.

"okay , take care baby sis", he says while kissing my forehead and jogs of before I can come up with a comeback. 

I go to my locker where I see my two best friends Carol and Tyler. I greet them while taking my books out . we reach class just on time , we three have all our classes together so it's the best.

Our first class is English , we go sit at back in the corner. I sit near the window and look outside while Ms.Carter is talking some s**t about the lovestory of romeo and juliet. Suddenly , all my thoughts go to last week , when I was FORCED to go to a party by Carol , I was literally chased by some man in which I ended up at a lonely street. I think back to the man who helped me , I  didn't see him clearly but he was HOT I saw him by just the street light and I could tell how sexy he looked in a suit. Though he was super weird , he hugged me for gods sake. His voice sent shivers down my spine for some reason. And his green eyes is what captivated me , I literally got lost in them . His name , Damien ,sends shivers every time. 

'Ringgggggg' the bell goes and we collect our books and head to our next class. This is how my day pretty much goes by . But that man , Damein , still stays on my mind , like he has this whole week.
