The Demon King

Damein's POV The sky was dark and there was no one around , not one person roaming on this street . Any normal person would be dumb to be out at this time of the night but it's different when you're the one haunting people's nightmare , when you're the one reason for everyone closing their Windows at night. With a sigh I turn around the street to a different turn when I hear a scream. Of course I would not go in that direction , because honestly I do not care even if someone dies , after all in the end I will decide the fate of their soul. But something in me told me to go there , you could call it an instinct. I being the stubborn person I am still did not budge on my stupid gut feeling. 'I think we should go and see what's going on' My beast , Xavier said. I knew something was up but I could not put my finger on it , Xavier had been nervous and fidgety all day , so I had decided to go take a walk. Being the king of hell is not easy and it definitely does not give the privilege to have a walk , anyone or anything treats you like some celebrity , of course they maintain distance and keep respect but something in me told me to come up to earth. 'Okay' I said to my beast . I turned in the direction from where I heard someone scream. As I got closer , my heart started beating faster , suddenly I was hit with the smell of roses which included a hint of honey and caramel in it . Though those three smell together sound odd , but to me they were the  best smell ever. It was so good that my mouth started watering. Xavier became more anxious and fidgety. I went around and as if time went slow I saw the most beautiful girl to have ever existed. She was out of breath as if she just ran a mile and even though I was a few feet away I could hear her racing heart. She was wearing a tight black dress that reached her mid things . The dress was full sleeve and it like second asking to her . Her long light brown hair which I could see clearly in the dark because of my vision were looking so smooth that I just wanted to run my hands through them. Her curves were so defined that my hands were literally itching to touch them. Her skin was pale and little bit tan. Xavier went quite all of sudden and stopped being anxious and fidgety like he got what he was looking for . Then the most magical thing happened and she and I made eye contact . Her blue orbs starting right in my green ones. Her eyes were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and looking at me like that made me think as if she was staring right into my soul. Xavier was growling something but I was to focused to comprehend anything , her lips parted and shock was written on her face. I was still lost in her eyes when as if a bucket of water was poured on me realisation dawned upon when I heard that one word. 'Mate' Xavier kept growling.  Before I could stop my legs were already moving in her direction, and soon I had engulfed her in my arms , she was so tiny compared to my 6'8 form. She must at least 5'4 or something. Sparks exploded everywhere , but I think she must be to shocked to notice .Her being in my arms was as so perfect I just wanted to stay right there. But Then I heard her angelic voice shout at me , "what the hell! Get off me". "No, Mine!" I mumbled into her shoulder. "What was that?Can you please get off me like seriously! I will not hesitate to kick you where the sun doesn't shine."  I quickly moved away , not because I was scared of her so called 'threat' but because I wanted a good first impression on my mate and seeing the situation I do not think I had.  "Ahem....so...." I trailed of not knowing what to say. I mean how am I supposed to explain anything to her ? "Here , I was running from some crazy dude and I land in front of hot man who does not have the decency to help a lady in need , but no what he does is hug her!!!!!" She kept ranting in front of me. When I heard that someone was after her , as if a switch was turned on in me , I suddenly became protective over and a deep growl rumbled through me. "Omg!! What was that , did you hear it? I think there's a big wild dog here." She panicked. I found that so cute. Wait , cute no I mean normal , I do not say cute I am the hell Lord for crying out Lord. Yes , I meant normal not cute definitely not cute. "Who are you running from?" I asked her is my deep husky voice to which I am sure ladies swoon over. Not being cocky here , just a fact.  I mean shouldn't I impress her with my hotness , cause literally she called me hot and I swear I never felt so proud. "Some dude at the party that became obsessed with me....But Who are you ?and why are you wearing a suit ?and why are you out at this time of the night?" She bombarded me with questions. One thing I learned from my mate in this short time is she is very talkative. "I am Damien Blackwood and you are?" I asked her ignoring the rest of her questions. "Oh...I am rose winters , Damien" she said my name as if testing it and it rolled out her tongue so perfectly that I just wanted to take her here. "Rose..." I said testing her name and it is the most beautiful name for her as it suits her perfectly. "Yes rose , now please do you have your phone I need to call my parents." She requested.  "Okay , but where's yours?" , I asked. "See , it's already late and my parents must be worried and to answer your question my phone battery died and I was at a party in which some dude started following me , so I ran and he chased me and then I lost him , so finally here I am in dire need of your help." "Ok , here my phone you can call your parents." I said after her rant. She quickly took it and started calling someone , guessing her family . When she was done she gave it back , while mumbling a small 'thank you'. I stayed with her and decided to wait till her parents come. "So , you from around here? Never seen you here though." She questions me after a few minutes of silence. "No , just came for a small vacation , what about you?" "Me?oh I actually have grown-up here." Later we fall in comfortable silence. Not long after that a SUV pulls near the corner. She turns around to go but suddenly turns in my direction and says , "thank you Damien , hope we meet in the future sometime. It was nice meeting you."  "Oh we will meet for sure ." , I said. She looked at me confused but shrugged it off and went. I silently ordered my hounds to track that car. 'Soon , you will be mine my little mate' With this thought in mind , I opened the portal to hell and went back.
