“What do you want Conner?” I yell out he does not answer straight away. “Someone needs to teach you how to treat a man; you’re a mouthy little bitch.” “Somehow I don’t think you will teach me in the next 5 minutes before the police get here, you see I’m just a young innocent little girl who is so very scared for her life and being new here with a lot of money means people care about me and my business.” I smile at him sweetly. “You don’t scare me Conner neither does your little pathetic group. Now get the f**k off my land.” I can see the lights before I hear the sirens. “Whoops looks like you’re out of time tonight.” Minutes later 3 police cars show up seconds after I start crying again, I ran up to a young officer and huddled up to his chest. “These men said I needed to learn how to treat a man, I don’t know what they will do to me.” I cried helplessly against him, he puts his arm around me. “Conner Slaughter you know you and your pack aren’t meant to be this far from your camp, I suggest you get back there right now before we take you all in.” I peek out over his shoulder and smile at Conner. They loaded them up into the police cars to take them away; the young officer gave me his card. “Officer Aiden Wells, 91588457.” I smile up at him. “Thank you so much, I was just so scared.” He walked me inside and said goodbye before leaving, I got onto my computer and looked at security systems. I decided on a NVA-460 system, I would be able to put 30 sensors of the trees surrounding my land as long as I replaced the batteries monthly and there were 7 cameras for outside and 10 for inside the house and I could set it all up to my mobile and laptop. I put an overnight order in then finished having my bath and going to bed, in the morning I woke up to someone knocking on my front door. I went down stairs to see a deliveryman I signed for my packages and to my surprise it was the system, I set out to set it all up in and outside the house. I jumped on my bike and circled the property to put up all the sensors, I set it up so all I had to do was go into the app and look thru each and every camera. I called up the local post office and set up a po box to collect all my mail then went online to order some new things. I did some shopping and watched a few movies until the sensor at the front gate went off; I picked up my phone to see a white pickup ute coming up my driveway. I went out the front as they pulled up and got out, it was the older couple I had seen thru the window that first night. “Hi can I help you?” I asked softly, the woman smiled warmly at me making me relax straight away. “My name is John Talbot and this is my wife Madeline. We don’t want to startle you but there is few things about our town that you need to know.” Suddenly he changed into a grey and white werewolf; I was taken back but not scared I do not know why but I knew he would not and did not want to hurt me. “Why are you showing me? You don’t even know me.” She giggled and he smiled.
