Pain, as I had never known, ravaged my body. There I was, pacing the floor of this room filled with Lykonian artifacts, waiting for news when the pain hit. It started in my fingertips, a tingling like pins and needles assa.ulting them. It traveled along my arms, across my chest and abdomen, down my legs, and to my toes.
Then the pain slammed into my head, and I couldn’t hold myself up any longer. I pressed the heels of my hands to my temples and screamed in agony.
