“Make him go away, Thane! I don’t ever want him near me again.”
“It’s okay, Starr. Kai won’t come near you again.”
“I can’t take how much he hurts me all the time!” She wails into my chest.
Tristan stands with his arms folded over his chest, shaking his head, and anger written all over his face. Dad, Theo, Tyler, Thorin, and Tane are all fawning over Starr. But not Tristan, her twin. I know why Tristan feels this way, but this is how things must be for now.
