Chapter Two

1001 Words
Momo’s cousin waved at the house, to indicate that we were there. The house was made of concrete but seemed rather cozy looking and warm with all the light coming from it. We went up the walk and inside the house that was pulsating with music, you could hear the first few strains from a Rema song starting up. When they got inside there were bodies everywhere, some lazing about. Some people were in the main room dancing and drinking. Seemed for all intents and purposes to be a pretty fun little party so Emma found herself relaxing just a bit, but something still felt off. She couldn’t really pinpoint it, so she just ignored the feeling and started swaying with the music a bit as Momo’s cousin disappeared and reappeared with a drink for both of them. Emma groaned a bit as she took the drink, but it was a party after all. She looked at the drink so long that Momo’s cousin pointed at the drink, “Shayo, it's very good sweetheart.” Emma smiled at him and to show good faith took a big drink of the liquid and got greeted with a burning liquid, it didn’t taste bad but still went down like liquid fire. That was usually her cue to stop drinking, she hated the taste of such things. She muscled through for Momo’s sake though. She glanced around enjoying all the colorful dresses and outfits worn by the other women in the room, seemed a bit odd but there seemed to be more women than men. Emma stayed by Momo’s side as much as she could, sipping on her drink, well aware that she was getting glances, whether it was the dress she was wearing or the blatant fact that her white skin made her glow among all the Nigerians in the room. She basically just did her best to ignore it. The drink was making her a bit more bold, so she pulled Momo with her so they could dance in the main room. The music was pure magic to her, something just called to her. Momo laughed as she started dancing twerking her hips and ass, clearly enjoying the fact that Emma had no moves but she was just vibing and, of course, once Momo started laughing at her, Emma became infected and started laughing with her as they danced. The room seemed to sway with the beat and the faces began to blur around them. Something felt wrong…but Emma continued to dance, at least she thought she was dancing as the darkness started to creep in the edges of her vision. She felt a strong arm around her, it was Momo’s cousin, “Come, sweetheart…you need to sit down, you have had too much.” He coaxed her and she just followed after him to a room where it seemed other girls were having a rest too. Momo was already there, the darkness continued to creep in…Emma’s mind raced, like she was underwater and slowly drowning, they put something in the shayo. Momo’s cousin made to help her sit down, they had drugged her and Momo, these other girls too from the looks of it. Emma could feel anger coming in from the bottom of her being, cutting through the darkness enough that she pulled free from Momo’s cousin and flexed back and punched him right in his grinning face. He started cursing and pushed her to the floor, she struggled the darkness seeping back through before he smacked her hard in the head and the darkness claimed her, as she floated into the abyss of her mind she heard. “Are they for Yahoo plus?” Emma felt her insides grow cold at the mention of this. She had heard about such a thing briefly on a episode of Vice once, it had something to do with harvesting their organs and selling them on the black market. “No, no, my boss wants them and the others ... .personal harem I think.” “This white one is exotic. I bet he pays a high price for this one.” “Yeah yeah, think we are going to make a good payday, Brother.” The darkness still had just some holes in it enough for Emma to hear what was going on around her, she felt panic. What were they going to do to them? “What about your cousin?” Emma could hear Momo’s cousin laugh, “She is a loud American black girl. There is no loss to our family.” She felt a surge of anger for her best friend, her head throbbed but she pulled herself blearily up to all fours and to a kneel. As she got to her knees, swaying from the effort. A man entered the room, the music from earlier had died down. Emma pulled herself to her feet, the man stopped and looked dead at her, his eyes a soft golden glow. Time seemed to stop for a second, her fighting the darkness as they regarded each other, she could smell a woodsy scent in the air…almost intoxicating enough to push the darkness that threatened to take her out back further. Momo’s cousin snagged her arm then, and the man held up a hand to stop him. The darkness hovered on the edges of her vision as he came to stand in front of her. He was a very beautiful man, his skin like a silky milk chocolate and full kissable lips. She almost physically tried to shake her head, there was a strong presence to him that she didn’t understand. He took two fingers and tilted her head up to look into her face, she felt herself almost swimming. Her balance faltered and she fell into his arms, everywhere her skin met his tingled and pulsated. She lost the little bit of drive she had left to her and the darkness finally claimed her mind. She went limp in his strong arms.
