Kingsley
Kingsley stood at the back door of the house that they were assigned that night, normally he would not put himself here to help collect but he had been having trouble with some humans not completing the work. These so-called yahoo boys gave him a headache, but a man has to do business or meet his own fate, he was expected to lead and guide. He could not afford to make mistakes in his industry. He certainly knew how to show up, his Gucci suit pressed to impress and intimidate those that would get in his way.
He entered the house, the party well underway….a human came up to him, looking nervous.
“Sir, this way…we have the girls ready.” he said to him.
Kingsley could feel the humans' fear, the man succumbing to his alpha blood. He sniffed the air though, it was not this man's fear he was scenting though, it was something sweet, flowery with sultry undertones that made the alpha feel somewhat strange. He wanted to find the source of the scent but business and duty called first.
Him and his men followed the man and entered another room on the main level of the house, the scene was rough to look at, there were girls passed out everywhere, did these boys not have any finesse. He motioned for his men to start gathering their property up, some would be auctioned off and others used for yahoo plus, just depended on the woman and her health upon examination.
The scent that had hit him when he walked into the house was even more overpowering in this room. He stopped his perusal of the room when one of the women stood up obviously just barely holding on to reality after having drugs slipped into her drinks. She was a delicate looking thing, with dark hair and green eyes. The thing that interested him the most was, it was clear she was not a native, but a tourist. Her skin looked like porcelain next to all the darker toned girls.
One of the men grabbed her arm to stop her from trying to run. He walked up to her, her eyes seemed to glow green in the room. Even through the haze of the drugs. He tilted her chin up to look at him properly and almost stopped when he touched her and felt strong vibrations coming through her to him, he kept his composure barely. For some reason his wolf was trying to come up to the surface. He could almost hear his wolf asking to see her too.
He looked at her, she was very lovely. He also noticed that her scent was the one that seemed to call him the moment he walked in the house. He just barely caught her one the drug finally won with a small push of a syringe from one of the human men. Everywhere her skin touched, him hummed, his wolf spoke clearly just then…mate!
He shook his head at the word. He did not need a woman mucking up his business but also did not want her to be out of his control. At this point he signaled to one of his men.
“Take this one to the house,” Kingsley shoved her into the wolves arms, feeling somewhat odd once she left his grasp.
He had given up the idea of finding a mate a long time ago, he didn’t need this now.
Emma
Emma’s head pounded like a drum as she slowly came to. There was a hard floor underneath her. She could tell that without opening her eyes and whatever mat she was lying on was rough and thin. What happened?
It was so hard to think or to even remember. The smell of where she was was not any better than the little mat she laid on.
She lay there for a moment, just trying to keep her head from exploding, when she heard a door open and close. The air seemed to become charged as she smelled that cedar smell again. Who was that? She tucked herself against the wall behind her, hoping that whoever it was would just pass her if she looked small and unnoticeable.
She heard his footsteps approaching, then he stopped outside the room she was in. Guess trying to appear small was not going to work in this situation. Her throbbing head was not making this any better either. He opened the door to the room, the smell from him overpowering her senses outside of the constant pulsing of her head.
Emma almost gasped in surprise when she felt herself being pulled to her feet by someone's rather strong arm. Now she finally opened her eyes to look into those of her captor. His eyes still had that almost molten honey color, then it dawned on her. The memories of the night before slamming into her.
“Where is my friend Momo?” She demanded.
He didn’t seem to be swayed by her attitude on the situation, “Why should you worry about her, she is probably at an auction house by now.”
Emma was angry at this point, he didn’t seem to be bothered by the situation. She spat in his face and darted low and around him, sliding in loose gravel out the doorway of what was obviously meant to be her cell. She had to get out of here.
As she hit the gravel she lost her balance with her head already pounding even harder with the effort to move and slammed into the hall wall outside of the door.
He moved effortlessly to her side and yanked her up again, “Where do you think you are going little human?”
How was he so quick? She didn’t have much more time to marvel at that, as she was tossed effortlessly back into the cell and heard the door slam behind her.
There was something off about this man, something that would be intriguing if she wasn’t captured by him and god knows what has become of her best friend. She groaned as she crawled back to the little mat on the floor and collapsed on it, all of her strength spent and her head pounding.
