Chapter 8: Moving day

"While I was at the Alpha summit, I found my mate, He is the Alpha of the Blood-stone pack." I told my pack. My sister was so thrilled she squealed. "I know this raises questions in your head, so let me tell you about what we decided." They were all staring at me, waiting for me to finish talking. "Some of you may remember three years ago, when Dawson, Mia, Rose, Ella, Oliver and I had a make-shift funeral for our friend Billy, the man our restaurant is named after. Well his sister told us he was killed escaping an abusive Alpha. She lied. He was not killed by the Alpha, and he is not dead. He was locked up, so he couldn't escape, because the Alpha was worried he would come for the title. Long story short he outwitted the young Alpha and killed him in a challenge, becoming Alpha of the Blood-stone pack." I paused and let everyone process, the information. Only when they were all looking at me again did i continue. "We were reunited at the meeting of the Alphas when he walked in late, we knew instantly we were each others mate." I took another break looking toward my parents, my mom was crying happy tears and my dad was holding her tight. "After the meeting, we worked out the details of our unification. I am pleased to announce that the Moon-stone pack will be located right here!" There were a few sighs of relief and a few happy cheers. I waited for it to die down again before getting to the rest. 

"With that being said, our carpenters and free hands will need to start working on cabins. Dad, you will have to get ready to improve the training of the warriors, that are set to arrive. They will be here in two days. Zach, as head chef, I would like you to prepare for two feasts, one on the arrival day, and one for the day we unite, becoming one pack. Oliver, you will be in charge of keeping the restaurant kept up. Ella, I need you to do the same with the gym. Gertrude and Tanner, I need you to help Penelope, get the children's center sanitized. Amanda and Shelby, I ask you to make sure any unused room on the second floor of the pack-house is in proper condition. Anyone who has an extra room in their cabin, that is willing to lend out to our new pack members while their cabins are being built, please see my mother sometime this week." I let out a sigh. "Does anyone have any questions?"

"How is the Alpha situation going to work?" an omega named Emily asked.

"We will both be Alpha, I will not be Luna. We will either agree to a decision or we will ask for a third opinion from a neutral source."

"Will you have the same Beta and Gamma?" Dax asked.

"We will have our own Beta and Gamma." 

"What can we nurses do to help?" 

"I would like you to set up hydration stations near the construction site, and make sure our wolves don't endanger their own well-being."

"Yes Alpha."

"I know I just got back, but tomorrow, myself, and a team of unmated warriors will be leaving to help bring our new pack mates home... Dawson and Mia will be left in charge. Should anything happen I will run back here as fast as possible. Now if you have anymore questions please direct them toward your Beta and Gamma. I need to rest for tomorrow." With that I turned and walked to the pack-house and went up to my room. I took a quick shower and put on my pajamas, brushed my teeth and my hair, then i crawled into my enormous bed. I drifted off to sleep, ready to see my William again.

..................William POV.............

My pack was not thrilled about moving. But they warmed up to the idea when I told them, we didn't need to worry about rouges. As soon as the meeting was over I went to bed, dreaming of holding my Finley in my arms again.

The next morning I woke up at seven Am and I began to pack my stuff putting it in boxes and labeling where it goes. It took me seven hours to pack everything I needed. Then I went and helped any pack members who needed it. It was Half-past Six when a sentinel alerted me to approaching vehicles. 

(It is mate...I can feel her from here)

(William: Allow them in Sean. It's Finn.) 

I told my pack about my mate being an Alpha, and how i would not reduce her to being my Luna. They didn't understand, especially the she-wolves who have wanted that title for years, but they would once they saw the power that radiated off of her in waves. I was helping a younger family with a new born pup when the SUV's slowly drove through. They stopped in front of the pack house and Finn got out, followed by a bunch of warriors. Her hair was a beautiful mess, pulled up in a sloppy bun. She was wearing a black hoodie, and faded blue jeans, with converse, instead of her combat boots. She looked over at me and smiled. Then her smile dropped and she looked toward the forest and growled.

That's when I saw a pup named George sitting by himself. Before I could blink a rouge appeared from the forest and ran at George I shifted, and ran to protect him. But the rouge never made it to him, I heard the sound of bones breaking and I saw a large black wolf snap its neck. Before I knew what was happening Atrox padded over to the black wolf and started nuzzling her. She returned the affection before turning to our speechless pack. I couldn't blame them i was in awe too. Her large wolf was nearly the size of Atrox, her eyes were a golden honey color, like her human eyes. Then she did something that stunned everyone, including me; even further, she shifted back to human form, with clothes on. I ran behind a house and put on a pair of shorts hidden there. When I walked back over to her, I saw her staring at my tattoos. She shook her head and refocused, much to my dismay. I walked over and put my arm around her shoulder pulling her against me. 

"Blood-stone pack, I would like to introduce you to my mate and your Alpha female Finn!" 

"Welcome Alpha Finn." My pack said to her.

"Thank you, I know you don't know me or the warriors I brought with me, but we would like to help you load your belongings into the vehicles. I have been made aware you have a rouge, problem, so our warriors are here as added protection as well." 

.............Finn POV..............

It took us four hours to get everyone's belonging packed into all the vehicles.William had ten SUV's for passenger use only. The small pup that almost became rouge chow, was in the car with William, Zack, Dax, his parents, his older sister and I. I slid in next to William and leaned against him, then he pulled me up on his lap. I rested my head on his shoulder my forehead on his neck, I ran my hand over his chest, I felt his excitement as I did so, we stayed like that for most of ride. I kept thinking about his wolf, his wolf was massive, about six foot tall from his paws to the tip of his ears. His coat was dark grey with a few spots of lighter grey and white, his left hind paw had a black patch. His eyes were enchanting, icy blue, like his human eyes, but with a few golden flecks. He had an air of power, like most Alpha's, but his was stronger, it almost made me want to submit to him, i think it was because he earned his power, unlike most Alphas.

So Ira, what do you think of Williams wolf?

(He is perfect....I need to run with him)

How about after we get home, you can show his wolf around

(That is perfect!)  Ira purred at my suggestion

"William?" I said taking my head off his shoulder and looking into his eyes.

"Yes Finley."

"Ira would like to show your wolf our territory after you get your stuff in the house, before you unpack." He grinned at me.

"Atrox is doing back-flips, he would love to run with his mate." I smiled back at him and kissed his cheek, then rested against his shoulder. He kissed the top of my head and wrapped his arms around my waist and held me. I closed my eyes and let his breathing lull me to sleep. When I woke up we were at a rest stop, Dax and Zack were not in the car.

(Finn: Dax are you guys okay?)

(Dax: Yeah we just needed to use the restroom.)

(Finn: Okay, do you want me to take over the drive, now that I'm rested?)

(Dax: If you want to Alpha, just know, I'm not sitting on our new Alphas lap in your stead.) 

I laughed out loud startling everyone. (Finn: I wouldn't dream of it Dax.) I spun to face the door and opened it, and stepping down. I stepped away from the SUV and started stretching, I heard William follow my lead. 

"I'm taking over for Dax, he needs a break." I said turning to look at him. "And trust me you don't want Zack to drive."

"I heard that!" Zack shouted. I turned to see him walking toward us with Dax, who was laughing, both carrying food and coffee.

"Hey it's the truth, last time I let you drive we almost died." I said crossing my arms at him

"You're being dramatic," Zack said while rolling his eyes at me. "That deer came out of nowhere!" 

"And what about the three trees you nearly hit? I'm pretty sure they were rooted to the spot, and they weren't moving." I mock glared at him. He opened his mouth to say something, but shut it in defeat. He looked down like a scolded puppy.

"You win Alpha." He said sighing.

"I always do." I skipped over to him and ruffled his hair. Then skipped back to the SUV. Everyone was getting out to stretch, and use the restroom, and grab a snack. 

When everyone was back I addressed them. "Before we get back on the road, I would like to know if anyone is willing and able to drive so our warriors can rest." I spoke loud and clear. About twenty wolves came forward, saying they could do it. Each wolf got to drive, the warriors in the moving trucks with all of the belongings were switched out too. "If each driver would like, you can choose your own navigator, when you have chosen please head to your vehicle and we will continue our journey to our new home." One of the drivers of the moving trucks made her way over to myself and William. She hardly had any clothes on, her dyed violet hair was tied back in a pony-tail. She bowed her head at me, her unusual dark grey eyes were nearly hidden behind her thick lashes.

"Is there anyway I could steal away, that handsome blonde warrior of yours,? Alpha" She spoke to me. I smiled before calling Zack over.

"Zack!" 

"Yes Al......Mate.." I turned to look at him, his eyes were trained on the girl with violet hair. 

"Soooo.. Zack you will be navigating for miss....?"

"Lyra." William finished for me.

"Lyra." I repeated. " Just so we are clear, no fondling on the road, I would hate, for anyone in our pack to be involved in an accident on their first day moving in. Okay?"

"Yes Alpha," they both said turning to look at me, I shooed them away with my hands, then grabbed hold of William and went over to our SUV. Everyone piled into their vehicles and we hit the road. William and I caught up, I told him about the pack, what everyone was like now, Dawson and the girls included, I filled him in on the earth shattering revolutions and stories. I told him about Chris and What happened the day we left. He in turn told me about the abuse he suffered the the hands of the old Alpha, his estrangement from the rest of his family, and the she-wolves, that threw themselves at him. We both growled when we heard about the hell the other had gone through, and when we told each other about wolves touching us. I mean we are both possessive alphas after all.

Our conversation came to a halt when we reached the pack border. I looked at the pack sign and beamed, our pack had already changed the sign, it now said Moon-stone. We passed through, the border and drove past the construction, of the new cabins, right up to the pack-house where Dawson and Mia we awaiting near the steps. Oliver, Ella, Rose ,Tanner and my parents were off to the left and slightly Dawson.

"Welcome home Alpha William." I said and he smiled down at me.
