Chapter 7: Mate

................Unknown POV................

I was locked up for too long, I almost gave up, until the day he came down. Alpha Kyler. He had just turned eighteen and taken the mantel from his father. I saw an opening, so I challenged him, He laughed and he accepted, trying to set the fight for that day.

"Do you want the pack to think you're weak?" i said baiting him

"What did you say pest?"

"If you fight me today where is the challenge? The pack will think you're weak, they will only see you as a real Alpha if you fight a worthy opponent." I saw his face darken as he thought about what I said.

"Guard, feed this pest three times a day and make sure he works out enough. I don't need the pack to think I'm a weak Alpha."

"Yes Alpha." The guard said

.............One month later.................

"It is time for your challenge pest!" The guard said as he opened my cage. I was led out to a field where the Alpha awaited me. When he saw my buff frame he took in a shaking breath, he wasn't expecting me to be so large. The fight commenced, he shifted first, turning into a mid-sized tan wolf. I shocked him by shifting effortlessly, my wolf dwarfed his, Atrox (Latin for fierce) was thrilled at the chance to fight. He was sick of being caged. He lounged at me, i evaded and turned and grabbed him by his neck and bit down with all my strength. He tried to fight, but he was no match for us. There was a sickening crack and i snapped the Alpha's neck. I felt a power surge through me as I became the new Alpha of the Blood-stone pack. The wolves who came to watch the fight bowed down in submission. 

My pack warmed up to me quickly once they saw I wasn't a monster, the she-wolves, were relentless, but I paid no attention, I wanted to wait for my mate. After waiting for two years I finally caught her scent. I was at the Alpha summit, a day late, due to pack reasons when I smelt her. She smelt like lavender with a hint of honey and coconut. Atrox was buzzing with excitement, we had waited years to find her. As I walked to the door I heard talking. I opened the door and when I saw her, i gasped and i had to grab my beta so I didn't fall to my knees, she looked over at me her honey colored eyes going wide with shock.

"William?......"

...................Finn POV..............

MATE.....

I heard the door open and someone gasp, I looked over to see Icy blue eyes staring at me; my eyes had to be playing tricks on me, he is dead, but my mouth moved before I could stop it.

"William?....."

"Billy? What...? How...?" Dawson said walking toward him.

"Robyn said you died." Mia said, making her way to him. I felt my eyes start to burn.

"We had a funeral for you." Rose added walking with Mia. I felt the tears spill down my cheeks. I watched them all embrace him. This couldn't be real i was dreaming. The other Alpha's were watching the current events with invested interest. I stood and faced them all. 

"Take a break, Come back in half and hour." i commanded them. I felt someone come up behind me, I looked up to see Dawson. He grabbed my shoulders and spun me so I was facing him.

"It's real Finn, he's alive." I noticed that he had wet lines on his face from tears. I nodded. "We are gonna let give you guys a minute okay?" I just nodded again. I heard them leave, but my eyes fell to the floor as the tears came. Then he was next to me, I wrapped my arms around my stomach and leaned into him without thinking, half expecting to fall on the ground. Instead i fell into a chest, I closed my eyes and let the tears flow. I turned myself into his chest, and wrapped my arms around him. I felt him return my embrace and I cried harder. When the tears stopped I just stood there, breathing him in. When I was ready I pulled back and looked up at him, his gorgeous light blue eyes, shone with tears. His tousled curls, were falling into his eyes, his chiseled face was littered with stubble.

"I thought you were dead." I spoke softly looking him dead in the eyes.

"I was locked up for a long time Finn, and I only got out because I challenged the Alpha of the pack who was holding me, I killed him and I became Alpha, I wanted to look you up but I was afraid to see if you had found your mate." How did he know i would have a mate?

"How...."

"Did i know you had a mate?" I nodded. "The day Ella left with Chris, you didn't say goodbye you just left, so i followed you, I saw you shift, I knew why you didn't tell us too. Before you ask why I didn't say good-bye." he raised an eyebrow. Can he read my f*****g mind? "I wasn't planning on staying gone. I just wanted to grab Robyn and go back, but it was a set up. The upcoming Alpha offered Robyn the Luna title for me, he thought I would be a threat if I ever came back. She willingly did so, he started dating her, I was able to escape once, but Robyn found me. Her Alpha lover was able to restrain me because I was weak. After he took the mantle of Alpha I used his arrogance against him. I planned on banishing Robyn but she was long gone." He looked angry but I could tell he was hurt that his sister chose a title over him.

Before we could finish talking Dawson walked back in. "Hate to interrupt but the Alpha's are coming back." I sighed letting myself fall back against William. 

William then let go of me and walked over to the table looking at the spot holders, then he switched his spot with the guy who had been next to me. "William?"

"Hmm," he said taking his seat.

"You are not my first mate, I rejected the first one. I hated him before i knew he was my mate, so I rejected him." He looked confused and hurt at the beginning of my sentence, then he understood and nodded. "During your funeral I realized something."

"What would that be?"

"That I fell in love with you in high school." He smiled at me. "I love you William, my mate."

"You guys are MATES?.....This is f*****g awesome." Dawson said and he rushed over and hugged me then William. Then the rest of the Alpha's began to shuffle back into the room, with their guests. Mia and Rose skipped over with Oliver. Then two guys I didn't know came up behind William. I took my seat and leaned back in it. I felt William's hand grab mine, i smiled sheepishly at him while i interlocked our fingers. When Everyone was back Alpha Charles of the Wind-chaser pack spoke up.

"Before there are anymore interruptions, lets start the reason for the summit."

The meeting lasted for five hours. Once it was done, I pulled William up and we left the room.

"We need to talk about a few things, so go to your room with your guys, get your swimming stuff on and meet us at the pool." I told him. He chuckled, letting go of my hand but pulling me into him by my waist, and kissed my forehead before walking off with his guys. 

(Finn: We are meeting William at the pool, get your s**t on please!)

(All: Yes Ma'am)

I basically ran to our room and put on my Black bikini, covering the bottoms with my favorite jean shorts. I threw on my sandals then walked quickly to the pool. Within ten minutes all my guys were at the pool, Dawson walked over to me beaming.

"I haven't seen you this happy since before we left Finn."

"I finally have something to be happy about, Dawson. I have my other half."

"It's about time, if anyone deserves it, it's you Finn."

"What does Finley deserve?" William said walking up to us, I tool in his shirtless torso and his full tribal tattoo. It ran from his left wrist up his arm around his shoulder and crook of his neck. He was smiling at Dawson when he looked at his chest, then Mia and Rose bounded over in their bikinis and looked their waists, then he looked at my waist. His eyes glistened with tears, then he walked over to me and traced the tattoo with his index finger, he chuckled lightly, when he saw mine said William.

"I can't believe you guys got tattoos in my honor." He said wrapping an arm around my shoulder, and looking at Dawson and the girls.

"We also have a restaurant called Billy's bar and grill." Mia said.

"Hold on a second, before we keep going with all this," I said holding my hands up near my chest. "You should introduce us to your Beta and Gamma." I said looking up at William.

"Right, so this is my Beta Micheal," he said pointing to the taller of the two guys, his ebony skin made his olive eyes really stand out. "And my Gamma Rick." Rick was relatively attractive, his face was square, he had jet black hair and and brown eyes.

"Nice to meet you, Micheal and Rick. This is my Beta Dawson and his mate Oliver, My Gamma Mia and her mate Rose." I said pointing when I said their names. "William if you remember, Oliver is Ella's older brother." Oliver waved shyly at him.

"I remember Ella, Oliver, take care of my pain in the ass brother from another mother."

"And you, Finn." Oliver retorted.

"Okay, now William and I have some talking to do, the rest of you guys go relax." I said motioning for them to leave and have fun. Then I grabbed Williams hand that was resting on my shoulder and pulled him over to a table. I sighed as I sat down, i prayed to the goddess that this work out okay.

"Okay Finley, lets talk." He sighed as he sat too.

"I want to combine the packs, but I don't know where we should live, on your land or on mine."

"What is your rouge situation like?" 

"We hardly ever get any rouges, If we do they are usually passing through an their way south. For some reason they like the warm weather."

"Then we will move to Vermont with you guys. Our pack lands are infested with rouges."

"I'll need a list of the pack names and what their specialties are, how many wolves in your pack?"

"We add up to about two hundred twelve. You?"

"We have three hundred and ten. So when we unite the packs we'll have roughly five hundred and twenty two wolves." 

"We will be a super-pack."

"Golden-moon and Blood-stone, Golden-blood, Blood-moon, Moon-stone, Gold-stone. I like Moon-stone." I said.

"Me too!" William said, "Now lets talk about revenue."

William and I hammered out the details of our unification, then and there. We decided to go home and tell our pack then unite the following week. Then we joined everyone in the pool, and enjoyed being together again. The next morning we said, our good-byes and went home. When we got back to Golden-moon I called a pack meeting. I had everyone meet behind the pack house, Dawson and Mia stood at my side while we waited for everyone to show up.

"Good evening Golden-moon." I said loudly.

"Good evening Alpha." They all said at once

"I have news for you all to hear." I said
