The Alpha King Rejected and Broken Mate

Chapter 1 Black Moon Pack Alexia POV It was not yet dawn when I woke up from my three hours sleep, and my body ached with so much pain and everywhere it hurt so much. My name is Alexia James, daughter of the late Alpha Maxwell and Luna Gabrielle. I woke up in my cramped basement room that contained just a worn-out bed, with torn blankets that had seen better days, and a broken wardrobe that held little of what I owned. I hurried out and took my bath with cold water, knowing what punishment awaited me if I used hot water. I'm an Alpha's daughters but looks nothing of such, I'm covered in scars both old and fresh ones, looking frail and tired with dark circles under my eyes and with my long red hair that fall down to my tail bone, yeah you heard me red hairs like fire burning red, I had the most unusual eyes that makes everyone hate me and call me caused. I freshened up quickly and went into the kitchen to make breakfast for the hungry pack members alone. The pack consists of a thousand members, but not all members live in the pack house. Some mated members chose to live close to the pack house in their own private homes, while the unmated members all live in the pack house. The preparation of the food did not take much of my time because I am already used to this routine. Moving in the kitchen to make breakfast fast in order to avoid another round of beating and abuse from hungry wolves. I was so busy making so many breakfasts for the pack when my greatest nightmare walked into the kitchen. 'Still not done with the food b***h', Olivia asked looking at her with disgust, I froze with fear, eyes cast down and my entire being stroke with fright, 'I'm sorry Olivia' smack!!! and I fell to the ground, breaking the plates I was holding, causing it to pierce into my skin, not bothered by the fresh wounds, I knelt and apologised, for I knew what was coming next wasn't going to be pleasant. Olivia looked at me and said, "How many times have I warned you to address me as Luna?" I kept quiet with my head down, not daring to look at the one person who betrayed me and made everyone hate me for a crime I never committed. "When I mate with the Alpha, I will make sure you are killed," Olivia said with venom dripping from her words. I said nothing, just keeping my head down. That's when one of Olivia's lackey Ashley chuckled and said “oh boy, such a pathetic wolfless slave you just made your Luna upset”. And they all laughed so loud. “Luna Olivia I'm sorry”, I finally muttered I could feel her eyes drill holes into me, that's when I felt my scalp ting with pain, she grabbed a fistful of my hair and said “You will always be below me, in this life and in the next, you are nothing but a pathetic Parent killer, if I were you I will just end my life myself”, her words cut me so deep, that I shivered and felt more pathetic than I already feel. Maybe she's right, maybe I deserve to die to avoid feeling this much pain. At that moment my wolf spoke up, “stop letting her words get to you”. I stood up and cleared the broken plates and resumed cooking, not daring to disinfect the fresh wounds caused by Olivia. "You should have just killed that w***e", said Flame, my wolf. I sighed and said, "You want the pack members to kill me?"You are stronger than all of them, I still wonder why I accepted your plea to mask our scent. Now they think we are wolfless, " Flame complained. 'It's for the best,' I muttered. Flame hated that I always acted weak and let them walk over me, but I knew what awaits us if my brother ever finds out I have gotten my wolf. I did not want to lose the one person that keeps me sane in this pack. I knew she was not going to understand my point, so I stopped arguing with her and pushed her at the back of my mind, in order to set the tables and serve the food. I hurriedly left the dining room and went to attend to the other chores left for me. It was already 7am when other pack members came down to eat, while they were busy laughing and eating, I went to their rooms and dressed the bedding and packed the dirty clothes for laundry.
