The first thing that I notice as soon as I wake up is the cold. The morning air is crisp, the kind that makes me want to stay curled up inside my blanket forever. And by blanket, I mean large palm leaves. The second thing that I notice? My hair which is in absolute mess. I run my fingers through the tangled strands. I wince as I try to undo some of the knots. Great. Now I look like a walking disaster. Yawning, I sit up, blinking at the sunlight that filters through the makeshift flap. The world outside is eerily quiet, except for the occasional rustling of leaves and the distant sound of birds chirping. I stretch, my arms reaching above my head, before glancing to my side where Jasper is supposed to be sleeping. And, he's laying there, already awake. He is leaning back on his hands
