THE DREAM LAND

Susan’s POV

I woke from my dream after talking to Raymond. I knew he was hurt from my words but I cannot control myself. I can see the pain behind the evil deeds of Bryan. I can see his sad eyes whenever he looked at me or deed something wrong. I want to help him too.

But when I opened my eyes, I cannot believe myself. It’s the same place where Raymond and I meet, but there is something different about it. Pink leaves are covering the grasses and giving a sense of soft mattress. I got up and sat on the floor. This is so mesmerizing as everything is lighted, and the sky is so clear. The sun is shining brightly, embracing the land with its shine. Butterflies and birds and rabbits are moving here and there doing their daily course. Am I still dreaming?

I started walking without any clue where to go. I liked this place. I can live here forever. After walking some time, I can hear the sound of a stream. I went there. I loved the scenery, but the stream felt familiar. I don’t know where I have seen it. I tried to remember but could not link, so I brushed the thought out of my head.

After sitting there for a long time and not knowing where I am and what to do next, I tried to sleep for a while, but to my dismay, I could not sleep. Then I realized I am neither hungry, not tired. Not panic started kicking in. What is happening? Then I got up and about to move out of the water when I saw there is no shadow of me in the water. WHAT? How can that be possible? I ran out of the water as soon as I can and started running to I don’t know which direction. I was lost.

Suddenly while I was about to move to some other direction, I dashed with someone’s body and was about to fall, and I closed my eyes due to fear. He held me by my waist and saved me from falling. Even if I had dropped, I would not have been injured because of the leaves cushion on the floor.

Felling being held by someone, I slowly opened my eyes, I can see midnight blue eyes, long and shiny, so beautiful that I can look at those for my whole life. His lips were light pink and jeweled with a beautiful smile. His skin was pale, and shinning like many diamonds were embedded in it. It was a fully toned body with a smooth and sexy torso. There were two tattoos engraved on both sides of his chest, one of red fire and the other blue.

As soon as I saw the tattoos, I came back to my senses and jumped out of his arms. “Who are you? Where am I? Am I dead, or is this just a dream. Why am I getting attracted to you?” Oh my God, what I just told? But I could not control it. I was unable to stop myself from saying. If I am opening my mouth, then only truth is coming. I felt this type of feelings only in front of Raymond. How can I cheat Raymond? Am I drooling over a stranger?

He laughed, “Don’t worry, love, you are not cheating anyone. Raymond is part of me serving the curse. My name is Harley.” Then I realized that he is right. His eyes were the same as Raymond, midnight blue. Before, I thought it was black, but now I can recognize it was midnight blue. His facial representation was equal to Raymond but a little different. He is more handsome than Raymond.

“But why am I here?” I asked. “Because you wanted to.” He replied, coming close to me. Subconsciously I went back but ending at a tree. “You look the same. I have been waiting for ages to meet you.” He filled me with the information while caressing my chick with his thumbs softly, which left me in confusion, of course.

“What do you mean by I wanted to come? I never wanted to die and come here where I cannot see any of my loved ones except you, and what do you mean I look the same? Have you seen me before? Most importantly, why the hell I am telling the truth only and unable to close my emotions?”

After hearing all my questions, Harley smiled and took my hands in his and started going somewhere. “Where are you taking me? I want a bloody answer. What is happening here?” I was reluctant to move as I didn’t want to end up in some crazy part of this land; however, the whole piece of this dream is absurd.

“You will get all your answers when you come with me. Before that, I need to meet you some people.” Oh God, this is getting crazier, that means there are more mysteries to face. I went with Harley, though I tried to remove my hands from his grip, he didn’t want to let it go. He held it as if he was afraid that I would run away.

We passed through a gate and reached a fountain, and in front of that, a vast building was there. Oh my God, it is Raymond’s house. “It… It…. How?” Harley knew my expression and knew what I was about to question as he can read my mind. “Yes, this is the very same home that you lived in your real world. Let’s go in.”

We went in, and as soon as the door opened, I was greeted by the two persons living in the mansion. “Oh, God, Megan, you are here? I am so happy to see you. I missed you.” The lady came and hugged me as if she as seen me after centuries. “Who are you, and who the hell is Megan?” I looked puzzled, and so is she.

“Her name in the other world is Susan, and I haven’t told her yet the story.” Harley chooses to clear both our misunderstandings. “Oh, she is as beautiful as always, brother. It seems the real world didn’t affect her much.” The other man in the room came forward to greet me. “Hello, I am Jasper, Harley’s brother.” He shook my hand with a smile. He had emerald-colored eyes same as Bryan with a hypnotizing voice. “You are Bryan?” he smiled when he saw my expression.

He laughed, “yes, Megan, oops, sorry, Susan. Bryan is my cursed part. Sorry, what he caused you, but you were great for forgiving him.” He thanked me by kissing my hand. Then I moved to the lady, “who are you then?” “I am Rumi, the one who failed to cure one of these two. My real name is Olivia. You know, our relations are a bit complex.” She winked with a smile.

“So, you are telling me that you and Raymond are in relation?” I asked, looking both at Harley and Olivia. “No, not at all. I am with Jasper. But due to the curse, we were misled to find our partner.” Olivia finished her sentence while reaching to Jasper, and then the rest of the sentence was completed by Jasper,” but due to my cursed Bryan part which took the evil side didn’t realize that he had hurt his cure by leaving her to die.”

It was so much for me to take in. Then I realized that it was getting dark outside. I looked here and there to find Harley, who went away from our conversation. He was sitting at the huge sofa in the living room watching at me the whole time. I went to him, “What is next?” he stood up. “Are you uncomfortable here?” he asked me with his gaze fixed on me. They were filled with emotions as if saying, please say no. “No, but I am wondering how much time it has passed in the real world.” He sat down and pulled me towards him, and made me sit on his lap. “Here, one day means there 15 days.” He replied. I wondered if 15 days have passed. Suddenly, Harley lifted me his lap, and he went to the outside under the moon. I was wondering what he was doing. Soon Jasper also joined him. Olivia came from behind and kept a hand on my shoulder.

I was puzzled by their behavior. I turned to Olivia, “What is happening?” she stared towards them, “you will see.” I turned back and saw tears running down their cheeks. Soon their veins were looking like lava and suddenly burst into fire, Harley, same as Bryan and Jasper, same as Bryan.

As the evil Bryan felt less pain in the real world due to his evil deeds, Jasper faced more pain than Harley. Harley and Raymond suffered the same pain. But after a few minutes, they stopped burning. Olivia ran to Jasper and kissed him to sober him down, and Harley was alone kneeling at the spot. He was exhausted.

I ran to him and took him in my arms. “So you burn every day here? I am so sorry for taking it lightly.” His breathing was irregular, but as he felt me, his condition started improving. My voice and my emotions acted as a medicine for him. “Sing a song.” He demanded. “What?” I asked him. But without questioning again, I sang, and as soon as I started, they both started healing.

“I love you,” he told me, and we both kissed passionately. It was amazing.
