The Augury

CHAPTER 4

ZNOW

I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me, tripping over my feet. I remained on the ground wheezing and gasping for breath. I felt like there was sand in my lungs. Today is the first day of pack training for me and also prom day.

"I can't do this, I really can't" I said, with tears streaming down my face.

"You have to try Znow, you have to learn to defend yourself", the park warrior, Killian said.

"Awwn is the little mutt sad" Darla said in mockery,

"Stop that now, if you don't want me to double your laps " Kilian retorted.

"You wouldn't. I need my skin to be in perfect shape when I am crowned prom queen"

"Go to your room Znow", he said while helping me up. His hands were placed on the small of my back, and he whispered in my ear gently ". You will feel better after you rest."

I felt goosebumps on my skin as the hair on my body stood, something about this gesture didn't settle right with me.

"Thank you so much", flashing an awkward grin as I made my way to my room. I managed to take a shower before knocking out cold on my bed.

By the time I woke up, it was already evening and the pack house was almost empty because a lot of people had gone to prom. I decided to take a walk because I knew that my potential bullies had all gone to prom.

I made my way out of the pack house, towards the woods where most people run in their wolf form.

"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be at prom?" a voice said, stopping me in my tracks. I turned around and it was Killian.

"No, I don't want to go to prom."

"You're a weird kid" he said, making his way towards me. "How about we go to my room and have some fun", flashing a toothy grin.

"No, thank you, I'm not really interested" I replied, backing away from him slowly until a tree was behind me.

"What do you mean? I just want to play with you. I will be gentle with you, okay."

"I don't want you to please leave me alone". Tears are streaming down my face.

"Gosh you cry a lot, are you going to cry when I'm inside you"? Closing the gap between us and placing his hands on both sides of the tree

"No, no, no, I would scream if you touch me" I retorted, mustering a little bit of confidence.

"Scream all you want mutt, no one will hear you. The pack house is empty, and Alpha Finn is having a meeting with other pack heads" he said, amidst laughter, "so you better shut your fu*king mouth and take this c**k like the good little girl you are. I will be gentle as far as you are still and quite okay? Don't fu*king test me"

I was shaking like a leaf. Please help me, moon Goddess, I may not have a mate, but pleaseeee, I don't want to lose my virginity this way. With a little courage, I kicked him in the nuts and bolts for my dear life.

"You fu*king b*tch, how dare you" he shouted behind me as I ran as fast as my legs could carry me.

I heard the sound of a wolf behind me. I turned back to see him shifting into his brown-furred wolf, this is bad, really, really bad. He can catch me easily in his human form now that he has shifted. I'm doomed.

I continued running blindly into the woods, not having the slightest clue about where I was going.

"Help, help me please, anybody" I shouted with tears and I heard the sound of his paws behind me getting closer.

His wolf knocked me over, pinning me to the ground with his paws and shifting into his human form, while still on top of me, he slapped me, the impact of which caused blood to spill from my mouth and nose.

"Little b*tch, I told you to stay put, and I would be gentle, but I was mistaken. You like it rough huh, you like it rough don't you?" he asked while ripping my clothes to shreds.

I screamed while kicking my hands and legs as much as I could. "Help, somebody, please".

"Shut the fu*k up!!! How many times do you want me to tell you that no one is coming to your rescue" he snarled, hitting me again.

Suddenly, a huge black wolf almost double the size of Killian's tackled him, the impact of which sent him tumbling off my body, then stood in front of me protectively.

"Mine", I heard in my head before I passed out.
