Chapter Thirty-Three
Xander POV The news that I was going to be a father had been the best I’d ever received in my whole life. The woman I loved was pregnant with my child. We were going to have a baby. And the moment was ruined when she suddenly collapsed. I’d watched in horror as her eyes had rolled back in her head and her body crumpled to the floor at her mothers feet. Chaos ensued as everyone swarmed around her, trying to wake her. When that wasn’t working, I scooped her up from the floor and took off at a run, not stopping till I reached the infirmary. They hooked her up to machines and wires, but her vitals were completely normal and there wasn’t anything they could do. All we could do was wait.
