The Castle

Sincerely, Claire-Anne Mari. I hit enter as I concluded the application letter. It was for a secretarial position at 'The Castle', a multi-billion-dollar company. Applying there was a long shot, but I did have the qualifications and experience. I closed the laptop and limped towards the kitchen to make dinner before my husband returned. He always expected dinner to be made when he was out and if I didn't make it, then there would be consequences. I turned on the stove to boil water so that I could make his favorite, which was pasta and baked ribs. When everything was done, I ate my share and stored his own away, then went into our bedroom where I undressed and went to bed. Our house was average size, with three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, a living room, an office, and a dining room with a porch at the front and a pool at the back.
