As mom and I walked out of the optometrist, we headed straight for the food court since we were both starving.
On our way there, I saw a few familiar faces who I thought were my friends, Melony, Finn and their whole group.
My mom quickly went to the bathroom since we were right outside it, once she was gone, Melony came up to me.
"Oh look, it's Valerie, the goody two shoes. ", she said.
" Mel, just leave her alone, she doesn't deserve this. ", Finn said.
Melony sighed and walked away, I was glad that Finn defended me, but surprised at the same time.
After about two minutes my mom came out of the bathroom, I must have looked a little upset because she asked me if everything was alright.
" Not a big deal. " I replied.
And with that we headed back on our way to get something to eat.
