Chapter 1: The New Transfer Student
Flake, flake, and flake.
White snowflakes sprinkled down on the sky, sending a silver-white piece to this world. Reaching out and gently catching a piece of crystal clear snowflake, feeling the coolness when it melted, a touch of ice-cold smile slightly raised. Looking at the noble academy named “Saint Ying” in front of me, I let out a cold snort and stepped into the academy.
The human world, for the first time, I came to this territory ruled by humans, in order to find the three goddesses hidden among the humans. I walked forward slowly, my icy gaze looking straight ahead. A cool breeze blew, and the night-colored hair swayed gently. It was already winter, and the biting wind made others shrink their necks, but I, however, did not feel the icy cold of winter at all.
“Look, look, look!” Sharp sense of hearing made me notice the comments of the bystanders, “Whose family's daughter is that girl, how can she behave so elegantly?”
At those words, I stared back. Glancing faintly at the person who spoke, I found her words laughable. Simply because ...... I am not human. Thinking so, I habitually raised the cold smile at the corner of my mouth again.
“Go away!” The girl beside her was scared by my smile and pulled the person who was talking about me, “Don't you think she's scary, just like ...... just like ......”
“Just like what?” The girl who was talking about me was curious.
“Like ...... like a xenobiotic ......” The girl winced.
I took a slight step and resumed walking towards Senior A class as if nothing had happened.
Walking into the classroom, I went straight to a seat by the window with direct sunlight and sat down. The warm sunlight poured over me, bringing a hint of warmth to my cold body. I gave a cozy smile, not a cold one.
“Hey!” Feeling a human approaching, I looked up at the person speaking. Only to see him knocking on the table, “This is my seat, what are you. Get out of my way!”
I looked at him with disdain, my warmthless gaze causing him to flinch, “Is your name written here?”
“You! ......” the man was furious, ”I've been sitting here for 2 years, whose seat is this if not mine?!”
“Mine.” I smiled coldly and looked straight into his eyes, “Any comments?”
“You ...... me ......” he stammered.
“Any comments?” I continued to look into his eyes.
“No ...... no ......” he replied, still stammering.
“Then,” I put away my smile, ”please leave.”
He nodded and, with stiff steps, regained his seat. Only when he sat down did he come back to his senses, asking himself frostily, “What just happened to me?”
I once again bloomed a magnificent and icy shallow smile, thinking in my heart, “Stupid human, hypnotized by me and not even knowing it.
At this time, the classroom door was suddenly pulled open, and three sixteen or seventeen year-old-looking girls walked into the classroom talking and laughing. I frowned slightly: it was them.
And as soon as they stepped into the classroom, they froze, only to hear one of them, a dark-eyed woman with black hair vertically around her waist, sniff the air and whisper, “Be careful, there might be demons here!”
The three of them slowed their steps and looked around the classroom. I smiled darkly and withdrew as much of my magic breath as I could. The other blonde, blue-eyed girl gave a lurch, “The magic breath is gone, they (they) won't find us, right?” She frowned and said to the brunette, “Aerin, I'm scared!”
“Don't be afraid, Elwyn,” the brunette reassured the blonde girl, then turned to a third person, ”Maxine, how are you feeling?”
The blonde looked around the classroom, her dark blue eyes sweeping over everyone, “That demon is strong, I can't find him/her, you guys have to be careful!”
In the middle of the conversation, they had taken three side-by-side seats. Unluckily, it happened to be on my right, but it was good that there was a corridor between us.
After about ten minutes or so, a middle-aged woman walked into the classroom. She placed her lesson plan on the podium and cleared her throat, “Students, I will be your homeroom teacher this semester. My last name is Mei. You can call me Ms. Mei.”
The students below the stage listened with a lack of interest and a look of impatience.
Teacher Mei looked around the classroom once, her eyes landed on me, she smiled amiably and said, “Actually, we have a transfer student this semester. She's from the UK, she's the daughter of a duke named ‘Calanthe’.”
“Oh?” Someone on the stage coaxed, “Who is it?”
“Bai Yanxi? Student Calanthe, please come up to the stage and introduce yourself to everyone!” Ms. Mei said with a smile at me.
With my usual icy smile, I walked up to the podium, my gaze intentionally resting on those three, and introduced myself in English:
“Hello everyone, my name is Gironniera Xi? Escalante, you can call me Gironniera evening. I come from the capital of England in London, and we hope to get along well.”
The students on the stage listened in awe, all of them were brain-dead from my fluent English.
“Uh ...... this ......” Mr. Mei kindly reminded me. “Can you speak Chinese, they ...... can't understand a bit.” She was actually fluent in English as well.
I smiled again, the language switching to Chinese, “Naturally.” With a slight lurch, I caught a glimpse of the tiny black shadow hovering by the window. Averting my gaze, I spoke, “Hello everyone, my name is Bai Yanxi? Calanthe, everyone can call me Bai Yanxie. I'm from London, the capital of England, and I hope to be friendly with everyone.”
Mr. Mei gave me an appreciative glance, “Please go back.”
After I returned to my seat and sat down, Teacher Mei said, “For the first class of this semester, we can communicate freely, so everyone can leave their seats.” After saying that, she left the classroom, leaving us behind.
Seeing the teacher leave, I stood up and hurried out of the classroom. A few students wanted to talk to me, but when they saw that I had disappeared at once, their brains died once again.
