Chapter 13 The First Adventure.
Layon become speechless and don’t know what’s going on right now the sudden question of the old man caught him unprepared, he wants to say something but he is too shocked to answer because in these two years the only person with him is the old man, Layon already treating the old man as his own family but he doesn’t know if the old man feels the same because he always calls him a kid, he always wanted their relationship to become closer and to the old man to call him by his name, but he is too scared to do anything or even say something that might affect their relationship, that’s why he is always satisfied with just being in a teacher and student relationship, but right now the old man is asking him to be his disciple and even call his name, Layon was overcome by his emotion because the two things he always wanted to happen came true, he bows his head while crying and scream his answer full of emotion.
“YES!!!! MASTER!!!!”
The old man can’t stop being emotional too and his eyes become red, but before his tears fell, he forcefully stops his emotion because he doesn’t want Layon to see him cry.
‘When did I become this emotional? Is it because of old age? Who would have thought that I Joseph the “Justice of Light” would cry by just accepting a disciple if the people back then see me like this the would-be so shock that they going to have a heart attack.’
While Layon is still bowing his head the old man finally speaks.
“Layon raise your head, from now on you Layon is my disciple and I Joseph will be your master, your enemy is my enemy, your friend is my friend, your family is my family, your burden is my burden, your problem is my problem, I Joseph will vow to the system that I will help Layon with everything I got and won’t betray him until the day I die if I break this vow take my body and soul and make me suffer for thousands of years”
The system suddenly pops out in front of Joseph and have a notice.

‘Yes’
[The system received the approval of the user; the vow is active breaking it will have an appropriate punishment]
Layon becomes resolute and going to say a vow too but Joseph stops him.
“You don’t need to vow anything it is my duty to help you as your master”
For the first time, Layon disobeys his teacher or to be more correct his master and said.
“No! master let me do this, if I don’t do this, I will regret this forever please!!”
Joseph stares at Layon eyes the determination he saw is overwhelming even for him, after a while, he finally gives up and sighs.
“Do what you want”
Layon becomes joyous and starts saying his vow.
“From now on I Layon D. Light will be your disciple master Joseph, your enemy is my enemy, your friend is my friend, your family is my family, your burden is my burden, your problem is my problem, I Layon will vow to the system that I will help my master Joseph with everything I got and won’t betray him until the day I die if I break this vow take my body and soul and make me suffer for thousands of years”

Joseph looks at Layon with affection in his eyes he smiles and said.
“Kid let’s talk tomorrow and rest, for now, this day is too eventful for me to handle.”
“Yes! Master!”
The next day, Layon is meditating on his stone bed but he is too happy and excited that he can’t focus on his meditation, therefore, he starts training his body to pass time, he is waiting for his master to wake up, after a few hours Joseph finally woke up Layon immediately stop his training and walk to his master and just stand there waiting for his master to talk, when Joseph saw Layon he remembers the event yesterday his headache a little by just remembering it he looks at Layon and said.
“Oh, kid you’re really eager gave me a minute to fully wake up”
“Yes Master, by the way, master why are you still calling me kid?”
“Oh, did I? I am accustomed to it that’s why don’t worry I will call you by your name from now on”
“Yes master, ahh yes I remember that master wants to talk about something?”
“Yes, I have something to discuss with you and it’s really important, sit down you need to listen and remember what I’m going to tell you”
Layon nods a little and sits down on a small stone, when the old man saw Layon is ready to listen he start talking.
“You see Layon your situation is different to other Aura users, you are what they called a “Dual-Core” it is very rare and out of 1,000,000 Aura user only 1 can have a chance to have dual-core, and also you have dual elemental affinity out of 5,000,000 Aura user only 1 can have a chance to have a dual-core and dual elemental affinity but that’s not the crazy thing, the thing I am most worried is you have the dual elemental affinity of Dark and Light there’s never been a case like you before, that’s why I am going to tell you that never show your status to anyone unless you trust them with your life because if someone like you is revealed in the world you will be hunt by many and going to be an experimental subject”
Layon imagining that he become a lab rat he suddenly fell the chill in his back and agree to his master.
“Yes, Master! And master I’m a bit confused why my Aura type is Haura User I never read about that before?”
“Ahh that, it means you are a Hybrid User a mix of Maura User and Baura user”
Layon becomes excited about what his master said and ask.
“Master is that mean I can train both Maura and Baura?”
“Yes you can a Haura User is very strong when it matures but the problem is you need double the Aura essence of a normal Aura user to level up, and a lot of Haura User died before they can even mature especially someone who have no clan to protect them someone like you, that’s why I am also going to tell you that don’t use your Baura in front of other people only use your Maura to prevent unnecessary attention”
Layon listens and remembers every single thing his master said to him but suddenly he remembers something.
“Ahh, master I almost forgot why is my race unknown isn’t I a Human?”
The old man is also confused about this but because of his experience, he has some theory about it.
“Well I am not really sure myself but I have some guess and I don’t want to tell you I want you to find out about it yourself”
Layon asks his master for some direction on how to find out.
“Master, how can I find it do I need to read more books?”
Joseph shook his head and said.
“No, you read enough books already and even if I teach you my knowledge you won’t understand it what you need right now is experience”
Layon becomes confused and thinks for a while then he stood up and finally realizes what his master meant.
“Master you mean I should go out and experience the world?”
Joseph nods with satisfaction.
“That’s right you really are my disciple you are smart I want you to go out and explore the world, learn new things meet a different kind of people, join a Familia that you always wanted to do”
But Layon disagrees.
“I don’t want to go out for now I just become your disciple”
“What did I always tell you? don’t let your emotion cloud your judgment, always remember to be calm in any kind of situation”
“But master what about you?”
“What about me? I’m been alone for along time and can handle myself and also you can always comeback here if you need my advice”
Layon is still a bit hesitant but after a while, he finally made a decision.
“Ok master I will do what you told me”
Joseph smile at Layon and said.
“you should prepare tomorrow you going to start your journey and before you leave talk to me, I’m going to give you something”
After what his master said to him, he starts preparing for his journey tomorrow, and then he sleeps early, after that day Joseph woke up earlier than usual and just stare at sleeping Layon he wants to imbue his face to his memory before Layon leaves, after a while, Layon finally woke up and saw his Master staring at him he quickly stands up and bows to his master.
“Master you woke up early today”
“Yes, I need to prepare something for your adventure are you ready to go?”
“Yes, but should I really leave can I stay for a bit?”
“No, you should leave you to need to be decisive when you make a choice if not your heart will always waver and might become a habit, and take this is the things I prepared for your journey if you want to know their uses just inspect them”
Layon catches the bag and puts it inside of the system inventory he stares at his master for a bit and starts walking towards the exit of the cave but he stops and asks his master one last time.
“Master before I leave can I know the meaning of the tattoo on your forehead?”
Joseph smile and answer.
“You are too weak to know if you want to know it that bad then become stronger fast”
Layon asks the old man about the tattoo because every time he stares at the tattoo, he always feels that it’s something bad, but after his master didn’t answer his question he just smiles at his master and says his goodbye, and walks away. While Layon is walking away Joseph finally sheds some tears and also walks out of the cave and looks up in the sky.
“Dear did you see him he grows up well”
Then he takes out a book from his system inventory opens the cover and stares at the written words in the book with affection “Athena Light Diary”.
