Chapter 3
Unknown pov
As I stand in the kitchen window I watch the older blue sedan pull into the driveway. After a few minutes, my new historian, Derek, walks to the car and opens the passenger door. After a moment, Derek began to walk back towards the jeep with two women.
Wyatt caught an intoxicating scent on the breeze. Jasmine and coffee. No, it can’t be!
Wyatt Lancaster had been looking for his Fated Mate for the last 5 years, since he turned 18. He has been the Alpha of the Golden Rock pack for 3 years, since his father retired. John Lancaster had been an amazing alpha and is still with the pack to always lend a hand or a listening ear. Because of the Lancaster family, the Golden Rock pack is one of the strongest and most respected packs in the country.
Wyatt has been impatiently awaiting his Luna to make him and the pack stronger. He consciously has never romantically touched another she wolf because his mother always drilled the sanctity of the mate bond into his head.
As he watched the group check out the jeep, he was mesmerized by the autumn sun gleaming off of the long pumpkin orange hair of his mate.

“Its my mate” Wyatt responded.
“Wait, isn’t that Derek and his family?” Bennett asked.
“Yup. It appears my mate is a human.”
“What are you gonna do man?” Bennett asked.
“Have you or have you not had to listen to my mother’s lectures on the mate bond? I am going to accept my goddess given mate and hope for the best.” Wyatt answered.
“Well let’s go get the introductions done and over with then.” Bennett gripped his shoulder and steered him towards the door
