Chapter 12
Pipers pov
After the long conversation with her parents, her dad headed back to the, what is it, pack house, and Piper headed back up to her room. She opened the window and stretched out on her bed to let her thoughts wander. They kept wandering back to Wyatt Lancaster. His dark black hair and incredible ice blue eyes. Those chiseled features and all those muscles. He was so tall and dashing. And that butt! She wanted to grab right ahold if it.
What the actual heck was she thinking? Sorry that may have been my thoughts said a voice inside of her head.
Who the hell are you and what are you doing inside my head? I am rambling and talking to myself. I am actually going insane, everything that has happened today is just all in my head and I am going insane.
Whoa there girlie, take a breath and calm down. You are not going insane. I am your Lycan, Destiny, and I can always talk to you inside your head. And yes we did get lucky with our mate. He is so yummy.
My Lycan? You mean my wolf? When do I get to shift? Will it hurt?
Holy hundred questions girl. Lycans are more badass than wolves. We will shift on the next full moon. And that is tomorrow night. The first time will hurt, I'm not gonna lie. It will make it easier if our mate is there. If he is near us he can absorb some of the pain and it will go easier.
Piper thought about that for a minute. But Destiny, I haven't even actually met our mate, not really. How can I ask him to be there with us for our shift if I have never even talked to him.
I am sure he will understand. Our mate loves us. That's what the mate bond is, unconditional love. Now get some rest and will will find our mate in the morning and tell him everything.
Ok. Talk to you in the morning Destiny. Piper could practically see Destiny curl up into a fluffy ball in her mind, yawn, and close her eyes.
What a day. It felt like it had been a week since she woke up this morning. A good night's sleep is what she needed to feel normal again.

Terry's pov
Terry was happy that Wyatt had found his mate, they had been like brothers since the cradle after all. He just wished the moon goddess hadn't made it such a difficult situation. But good things come to those who wait as the saying goes.
Terry was still waiting for his mate. Sometimes he wondered if he even had one out there, and if he did he hoped she wouldn't be disappointed. He wasn't bad looking, tall and muscular with sandy blonde hair and gray eyes, it's just that he was, what do they call it nowadays, a brainiac. It was cause for many whispers through the pack. The only wolf with a degree in history and mythology. Wyatt and Bennett never treated him differently because of it, but he always got strange looks from the pack.
He looked at the clock. Four in the morning. Gonna be a long day, considering that his vision had been blurring for the past hour. And he had been listening to Bennett's snores for about that long.
Just as he was about to close the books for a few hours, a line caught his attention.
“Holy s**t” he exclaimed as he grabbed the book and rushed from the room.
