Chapter 35 Bennett’s POV Bennett sat at the island in the kitchen nursing a cup of coffee. He enjoyed nice quiet mornings when he could just sit in the kitchen and talk to Sally. She had practically raised Bennett, Wyatt, and Terry alongside their mothers. The three of them came from a long line of ranked members and Sally was always happy to help when their mothers were busy. “Why so quiet today, Ben?” Sally asked as she put a plate of fresh baked cookies in front of him. “Just thinking, Sally. Wyatt got his second chance mate and I haven’t even found my first mate yet. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy for him. I guess I am just a little jealous.
