Chapter 23It's seven o'clock in the morning and I've been lying in bed, wide awake, for over an hour, listening to Patricia's singing drifting up from the kitchen below. I'll rise soon and go downstairs, but for the time being, I'm keeping out of the way as I don't want to get under her feet. Yesterday I spent part of the day getting an area along the riverside marked out for the 'vide grenier'. My colleagues and I now have all the parking restrictions in place and we have marked out, with traffic cones, where the food and drinks will be served. I've also marked out the best pitch with cones and police line tape for Patricia.
