Chapter 29It's been over a week since Collum O'Brien went missing and Aidan has been to Barcelona several times to search for his son. Siobhan has become like a ghost of her former self. Her once rosy cheeks have grown hollow and grey and she seems to have shrunk with grief and worry. My friend Paco has not seen hide nor hair of the young man and neither have any of his colleagues, so I'm very surprised when I arrive at the office and find that I've had a telephone call from Byron about him. When I return his call, he tells me Collum has rented a ground floor studio apartment from him in the centre of town, and he's paid three months rent in advance, in cash.
