I had no idea just how serious he was being when he promised to speed us through the traffic, I have never heard so many cars honking all at once. I felt bad, like I needed to be the one apologising for how much he was inconveniencing everyone on the road. I thought he lived pretty far but I came to the realization that he was just taking the highway because he wanted to show off or whatever.
And it only dawned on me when he took a turn and headed back before it took us just a minute to get to where he stays.
