Lana Love's Lovers

This is the moment. Today is the day i will be graduating from Venge high of the Vengeance pack. I have successfully delivery my speech as Valedictorian, and am now in line with the rest of my class to collect my diploma. Hopefully with this - along with my athletic achievements in long Jump and Lacrosse, my parents will see that i am fit to become the first leading Alpha female - even without my mate. I am more than capable of this honour, especially to not only be an acting, single, female Alpha, yet an Alpha of the largest pack in America. I am ranked 1st for my fighting within my pack have only provided my family with honour when i have competing in hand to hand combat in both human and wolf form against other packs' she-wolves. This is more than enough, i am now officially educated with honours as a Valedictorian, a trained and more than equipped warrior, and a more than worthy Luna. I am Lana Love. Collecting my diploma on stage, i shake principal woods hands and wave to the crowd, immediately making eye contact with my parents. I am an only child and have longed to have siblings to bicker and play with. However, i have not had to worry too much as i am best friends with Nathaniel. He's Alpha Honest's son of the biggest pack in Eastern Hemisphere. We have been best friends since i could remember. i have not had too many friends, the other pack members had always found me intimidating and shied away from me. This bothered me for a long time, i used to cry,but Nate was always there for me. Although he's of alpha blood, he's from a pack from a different continent so that fact alone commanded an audience - not to mention his social skills and charming looks. He visited every summer since we met, and since he was home schooled he was able to finish up school in early in England and therefore has been able to stay here within our pack to study for his american diploma for the last two academic years - our packs good relations. The more friends he made friends as we got older, the more that i made - we shared everything. Joining him back in the crowd we listen to a departing speech from our principal after the last student exists the stage, before we are allowed to throw our caps into the air. It's official! We are high school graduates! - Entering the back yard of the pack house, the graduation pack for all of the students is in full swing. The sun is setting on the horizon across the clearing, the music is banging and the vibes are sweet. Before i descend the stairs Nate pops up beside me offering his arm. " May i have the honour of escorting this lovely lady to the dance this evening?" he asks in a posh accent before bowing. " You may, sir." I reply in an equally as posh accent before curtsying. As he leads me down the stairs i take in the view of the sunset. "You look stunning this evening Lana". Leo compliments. I will never forgive that gorgeous British accent of his. "Thank you, you look quite dashing if i do say so myself." He nods in reply. I look down at my dress tonight. A soft pink floor length bandeau dress, with a small train. I may be athletic but i make sure to show that i can look good in a dress too. My hair is wrapped up in a bun an a stunning Cartier necklace sits on my neck. A gift from a friend. Leo wore a classic evening jacket. Black and white, with a polyester bow to match me. We joined our fellow classmates on the dance floor, laughing and having fun before Nate excuses himself. He returns with two glasses of fruit punch before asking me to join him in the rose garden. Accepting his invitation, i take a glass before returning my other hand where it naturally belongs - in his. Venturing off into the rose garden, i appreciate the beauty that surrounds us and how the fairy lights illuminate in between it all. Stopping, i close my eyes and listen to the sound of the flowing river, the crickets of the bugs, and the natural sound of nature. Re-opening my eyes i find myself gazing upwards into those of Nates. " I want to tell you something." He announces. "Yes?" i answer, taking a sip of the delicious fruit punch. Yum i was dehydrated! "I'm going back to England. Alone." He sighs. "What?" I spit onto him. What a waste of good juice! "Why? How dare you! Alone? How inconsiderate could you be? This is so sad..." I stare into his eyes and all i see is guilt, remorse and some pity. How dare he pity me! He's the one leaving, i should pity him! But i don't. Because i can't live without him. As he' drawing in a breath to reply, a guard comes rushing in distracting us. "Miss Lun- i mean Lana - sorry Alpha Nat-" "It's not alpha... Not yet." "Alpha?" I tear my gaze back to Leo as my eyes begin to water, and it is all piecing itself together. He's leaving because he's taking the Alpha's title of the Dark Moon pack. I take a step back and Leo steps forwards. Even when i'm upset with him we are in sync. Wiping my eyes, i ignore him.Turning to the guard to grant him my full attention. "Yes Samuel." i answer. Formal and sharp as the Luna i will be needs to be. "The Alpha and Luna want you in your fathers office" he states now calm.
