At first, she didn’t think it was a knife, she just felt something poking at her side. But then, she felt her mother’s hold on her tightened. Sadie pushed Selena and grasped her right hand and tried to wrestle it away from her.
“Mom, it’s me, Sadie...” she pleaded to her mom as she tried to grab the small knife away from her.
