After breakfast, I wheel the empty cart outside the room and head back in. I look at the bed, and it looks so much more comfortable than the threadbare mattress I have been sleeping on in the attic. I squeal and jump onto it, it is like a fluffy cloud. I wrap myself in the big comforter and start to drift off almost immediately. This is going to be the best sleep I have ever had, I can already tell.

I startle awake. Was that the Moon Goddess? Why would she talk to me? I am nothing special, and yet she says I am? This is all too weird. So much happening in just a day. I looked at the clock, and it had only been an hour, so I decided to lay back down and try to get more sleep. Hopefully I don't have another weird dream this time…

Waking up, I am started by the softness under me and leap up. Then I remember that I am in a new room and what is going on. I look at the time and it is almost noon. I can not wait for lunch, and that was some of the best sleep I have ever had. This may be a nightmare, but it is a good nightmare I guess. Better enjoy it while I can. I don’t know how I will be treated as the king's breeder. Probably a tiny room away from everyone else so that I can’t leave. Still better than being a pack slave, I guess. Anything has to be better than being here. I just wish I would have been allowed to find my mate and leave here, but I guess that will never happen now. I am being sent away as a breeder. I hope he is at least nice, but from everything I have heard about him, I shouldn't hope for much. I heard he was ruthless and cruel, so maybe it won't be better there. However, if what the Goddess said in my dreams is true, then maybe this is my way to freedom. Maybe I can be set free when I get there. If he decides he doesn’t want me, maybe he will just make me a rogue and I can go live in peace in the human town. Yeah, I can hope for that at least…
