Give name to the child

Alex:

"I know what I am asking Uncle, but its really me who caused all of this. Media spread the videos because it was me who was holding her. All this buzz was because Alex was there. Do you really think, the video would have caused so much damage if it was not me? I am the one who destroyed everything."

"I know what you are trying to say and I am thankful that you thought about her. But I can't let my daughter marry someone because he feels sympathetic towards her. My daughter is not a charity case Alex. If you marry her now, she may never come out of her trauma. I want her to come out of this and stand again. I wanted her to get married because of love, not out of pity."

"Uncle, I will hire the best doctors for her in Seattle. All I need is just few months. And if you are not satisfied then I will go out of her life quietly. I will never show my face. She can divorce me anytime she wants, and I will fulfill divorce conditions which will ensure her a better life in future."

"Are you trying to buy my daughter?" Uncle got angry. He should be. No father can see his daughter like this. 

"I can never buy her No one can buy her. In fact no one can buy someone's heart. No one can buy someone's time, some one's love, someone's trust."

"Then what do you want? Why are you doing this? Just out of guilt? Because Kevin broke off with her?" I could see questions flooding in Aunt's eyes.

"Yes and No. Yes I feel guilty about what happened. But I am not doing this out of guilt. Truth be told, I want to give a name to Nicolle's child. I am sure she doesn't even want the child, but if she decides, she will not even have a name to fill in Father's Name column. Not that she needs because that bastard name should not be associated to Nicolle in any way. Just think about school admission form or passport."

My answer stunned everyone. I don't think they even thought about it. I could see the horror and pain in their eyes. Uncle Leo shed a tear.

"My sweet child. What did she do to deserve this cruel fate. She was a simple child. Never hurt anyone." And he sat down on the couch, breaking down completely. Aunt Serena rushed to his side and started crying as well.

"Please, don't break down like this. You are her wall, her Dad, her strength." I sat down on my knees in front of them. 

"Nicolle needs you both, she won't be able to pick up herself if you are like this. And about what I said, I still want you to think about it. I know how it feels without a Dad. Even though I was a teenager when he left, I still cant get it out of my head that he is not with me. I miss him every damn day. And without a Dad, f**k without a Dad name..." I paused and let out a sigh. "I just want to give a name, that's it. Once I announce she is pregnant after 3-4 months of wedding, she can divorce me or do whatever you guys decide."

"What about her, how will she react about this. I don't know Leo. A marriage after this incident? How will she "

"I wont touch her." I interrupted Aunty. "Have faith in me please. If not in me, then your friend. She lives in that house. You sent Nicolle earlier as well. Think of it as last time, just like another exam came up. If we think about it, this situation is an exam in itself and I am ready to play my part. She will live in her own room, not with me. And if you still have doubts, I will move out, until she is there. I will not even enter

my house."

"I didn't mean that son. Please don't get me wrong. I was just thinking how till Nicolle react. Marriage - this word can scare her. She went through 2 broken relations." Aunty said with tears in her eyes. "And who will ask her?"

"No need to ask me, I agree." Out of nowhere we saw Nicolle on the door with Emma.

"She got discharged early, Sia slipped out some paper work" said Emma, looking equally surprised as we were. Only Nicolle looked normal.

Nicolle:

I was hearing him talk, all this while standing on the door. How smart, he was asking my parents for my hand. Wow. first crush someone then pretend to fix it. Is this how rich men act? But I stopped when he said he wants to give a name to my child. He really has guts to say this. But now is my chance. Chance for my revenge. I will marry him, and destroy him.

It should be easy. He is attached to his Dad, so he will be attached to his child. I will make him fall for the child and then file divorce, with full custody of child. I will not even give him visitation rights. I will ask for a compensation that will bring him to road. I will make his life a living hell. He likes to be a God, alright. I will tear off this mask from his face and show his demon face to everyone.

"No need to ask me, I agree."

"Are you sure child. We don't want you to take any decision in a haste." My mom came to me, bringing me inside and made me sit on the couch near my Dad. Alex was sitting on his knees in front of my Dad.

"Yes Mom, I heard everything. If I want this child, then I will at least need a name. and since everyone is associating my name with Alex, I think its best for everyone."

Alex was speechless, looking at the ground, not meeting my eyes. How could he, when he knew he caused this mess. I bet he never expected me to say yes.

"I agree with Alex. I need a distraction from all this. This place reminds me of past 3 years. And it will give a name to my child as well. We should do it as soon as possible, since its already 2 months." I said and rushed to my room. Emma wanted to follow me, but I closed the door.
