Ara and I drove to the doctor’s office after we enjoyed a delicious lunch together. It was a lovely day, bustling with anticipation, as today marked her first official private check-up regarding her pregnancy.
“How are you feeling?” I asked her while we were on our way, trying to gauge her emotional state.
Although Ara seemed perfectly fine at the restaurant, I could sense a hint of nervousness in her demeanor now that we were on our way to the clinic.
“Just a little nervous, that’s all,” she replied, her voice soft.
