"What was that back there?" Ady asked, his brows furrowed in confusion as we sat inside his car, the engine gently humming in the background.
I didn’t answer him immediately, choosing instead to stare out of the window at the passing scenery.
Ady and I had left the Shaw residence not too long ago, and the tension in the air was palpable.
