Oh, goodness.
I glanced ahead, consciously avoiding his gaze.
I had prepared myself for this very moment.
Somehow, I always knew that I would cross paths with him again.
Even so, my heart raced wildly within my chest.
Why was I feeling nervous at this moment?
He no longer meant anything to me.
He was simply a fragment of the past that I longed to forget.
