The raised voices in the kitchen were giving Jocelyn a headache but she did nothing to calm her mother and sister down. Not that anything she said would calm the flaring tempers and vows to skin Leland alive the next time he made the mistake of showing his face before any of them. It was the next morning and Jocelyn could feel every ache in her body ten times worse from the day before. The bruises had also turned an ugly purplish color.
