My Way To The Top

Emory woke up by the sound of the alarm clock at 6 o'clock in the morning. She tried to get up from bed but  her long time boyfriend Gavin grabbed her from her waist and snuggled her up. "We'll go on a date Sunday next week, dress well because I have a surprise for you", Gavin said. Emory kissed Gavin passionately in the lips and told him, "What's that? Can't you not give it to me right now?". Gavin smirked and told her to go and prepare for work before they do another round of wild romance just like last night, and they both giggled.  Gavin always gives Emory a ride to work every day. They bought the car 5 years ago using the money they saved from their joint account. It was Gavin's idea to open the account because he wanted to prepare for their future. Gavin is the type of guy who always wanted the future to be perfect and secured, as he grew from a broken family. That's why Emory feels very secured with him because she knows he will not cheat someday when they're already married as he knows how it feels for a child seeing their parents divorce. And she's also very proud of him as he always put their future on top priority.  She's also  thankful because Gavin loved her so much despite her being a plane Jane. She does not wear make up and always dresses modestly. Being an only child, her parents are so strict and always scolds her when she tried to dress and put make up like her classmates back in high school. Despite looking simple, Emory has a nice figure and she's taller than normal girl. She could pass as a runway model only if she knew how to dress properly.  After an hour drive, they arrived at the Cafe where Emory works. She kissed her boyfriend in his lips and hugged him tightly before bidding goodbye.  At work, Emory still can't get over how passionate her night was with Gavin. She still has the tingling feeling when he was giving her love bites all over and how he thrust her back and forth in the corner of their bed. However, she was snapped out of her day dream when her workmate tapped her shoulder hard. "What was that for?", she said. "Help me out will ya, we've got a lot of customers today, the cafe's jam packed!", Melanie exclaimed. Emory got back to her senses and did her work as usual.  After 6 hours long, she finally clocked out and headed to her second job, which is a data entry clerk in a small office just few blocks away from the Cafe. She works there for 4 hours and after that she has to go to her third job which is a nanny for one of her neighbor's kid for 2 hours daily.  Emory has to have multiple jobs because she has to support her parents. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago while her father died when she was still in high school.  It was already 10 o'clock in the evening when a very tired Emory arrived at the apartment she rented together with Gavin. Most of the time, after her night routine she will go straight to bed because she's used to Gavin coming home very late.  He works at a 5-star hotel and she never bothered to suspect her boyfriend because he explained before that he has a lot of things to do at work and overtime pay would also help him save a lot of money.  Around 1 in the morning, Emory was woken up by the splash of water in the shower. "Babe, is that you?" she asked. "Yeah, I'm sorry I woke you up. Go back to sleep. Tomorrow I'll prepare us a nice breakfast", he answered. Emory smiled and can't contain her excitement because it's not usual for Gavin to do it. She planned to wait for Gavin to go to bed but she fell asleep after a very long day yesterday.
