10 years have past, Emory was able to achieve her dreams. She opened 8 Salons, 6 Spas and 2 Dress Shoppes. But it was not an easy road she took. Back then, she enrolled herself for college while adding new work on top of the three she already had. To save for rental, she went back home so she can also take care of her mother while the nurse aide is off work. She struggled at first juggling studies, work and taking care of her sick mother. But she was so focused with her shot term goal which is to finish college first so she can get a good paying job. They started having problems financially when her father died back and with her mother being diagnosed with a serious illness. She cried herself to sleep sometimes because her body can barely make it. But every morning when she wakes up, she always utter graces for being alive. Her courage and determination kept her going.
Most of the times she will almost fall asleep at work or at school, so she has to drink a lot of coffee to keep her going throughout the day. Sometimes, she will help classmates do the projects with small charge to help her save extra money.
When she finished college, her mother was overjoyed. She cried seeing her daughter thriving. Emory was thinner than before because of lack of proper sleep and rest but she was able to make it through.
She resigned from her jobs and tried submitting her resume to multiple companies in the hopes of finding a good paying job. Two months later, she got a call from a multi million company from New York. The interview was through a video call and Emory did great. She is a smart lady after all. She was then asked to move to New York so she can start her job as soon as possible. At first she was hesitant leaving her mother again but her mother told her to follow her dreams.
She moved to New York and was able to adapt with the lifestyle within a month. She was earning big from the company and she was doing very well with her job. Her bosses gave her promotion after a year in the company because of her work ethics, diligence and intelligence. Emory was also able to provide her mother financial support for a state of the art treatment. As a result, her mother is cancer free and is now enjoying her stay at the newly built mansion her daughter gave her.
Emory is still employed in the company. She still wants to go up the corporate ladder while expanding her business and investments before she will retire and resign.
