To a new beginning ✨

As her parents left her at the hostel, Lily got ready to go to her class. Students from hostel had already left for classes , so she was alone. More than excitement she was scared. The main reason for this was, she was a new student here and more than that she had joined 1 month late due to her health problems. As she got ready to go to class, one of her senior told that she would help her find her class. She was happy that the job got easy. On the way to class the senior told Lily about the unwritten rules of hostel and about the teachers there. Lily didn't even bother to look at people who were staring at her. As the senior showed her classroom to Lily, she thanked her and went inside the class, there was still 30 minutes for the class to start. She went and sat next to a girl in the second row. The girls introduced themselves. She felt somewhat good. As she spoke to them about her previous school and told them that she joined the hostel, she got to know that she was the only girl in the hostel from their class. A girl who had left the hostel the same year told about her hostel days and the warden. Lily had no idea how to start new in this unknown environment. By this time, the class teacher entered the class. She looked friendly. Payal, said Lily that she was going to handle language classes for them. Then the teacher asked Lily to introduce herself to the class. Lily was a shy girl, who had always stayed back when it comes to mingling with others and making friends. She already knew that everyone were waiting for her to speak, so she did not want to make it awkward for her. She finally spoke, it wasn't voluntary but she spoke what she was asked for. She wanted the day to end so fast but she still had a whole day to deal with. In the lunch break, the same senior came to show her the dinning hall. Lily was actually happy that the senior was helping her. She asked the senior for her name, ROSE was her name. Rose was a beautiful girl with long straight hair, she looked friendly and so she was.She was 2 years elder to Lily. As they walked in the corridor, a guy smiled at Rose and joined them. Rose introduced him to Lily, he was Kevin, Rose's bestfriend. They had their lunch together, with little or no talk. Kevin left the hall soon after he finished his lunch. Rose and Lily talked for a while and then they left for their respective classes. Lily barely listened the next classes as she didn't understand anything. Since the classes had started 1 month before, she thought of staying back and studying those chapters in the library. As the classes were over, she postponed the staying back idea for the next day. She wanted to go back to the hostel and unpack her things. She had to meet her new friends also. As she was going to the hostel a girl approached Lily. She was Ashley, a year older to Lily. Ashley had already heard about Lily and she thought of accompanying her to the hostel. On they way Ashley talked so much that Lily nearly felt relieved , because she was afraid about making friends with hostel girls and here she almost got a friend. Ashley also helps Lily to unpack her things. Then they together went to have some snacks and to buy few daily need things. Ashley had joined this school privious year. She told Lily about her experience in the school and hostel. Lily was finally excited to have this amazing journey away from home. After they came back to the hostel, Lily called her parents and talked to them about her day. She told them about her classes and new friend. She had decided to study well to make her parents proud. She thought of studying till the dinner. Ashley introduced her topper friend Jessica to Lily. Jessica said she would help her if she had any doubts while studying. Lily started with her studying and didn't understand a thing. She nearly cried seeing the textbook. Jessica explained few topics to her which made it easy for Lily to relate it to next topics. They all went to dinner together. Rose joined them in the Dining hall. By this time Lily was quite comfortable with the new environment. All she had was senior friends coz she didn't have any hostelites from her class. She felt sad for that. As they were about to go to their respective dorms, the warden came and told Lily not to attend morning exercise classes as her parents had asked for permission since she hadn't completely recovered. So she decided to make a new timetable using that time. As she thought of all these things, she said bye to her senior friends and went to sleep. Even though she was tired, she couldn't sleep. She started to think how would her next day will be. She hoped that next day will be better than today. Lost in her thoughts, Lily didn't know when she fell asleep. The new chapter had already begun in Lily's life...
