Chapter Five
Her eyes fluttered open and she groaned. Her whole body ached as she stretched out each of her limbs, removing the stiffness. Time seemed to work differently in the daimon realm and she had no idea how long she'd been gone. Or how long she had before Luc came around and made a big deal about what had happened in the daimon realm. All she was certain of was that she wasn't ready to deal with him and needed time to herself to think.
A dry chuckle escaped from her. Time to herself was something she didn't seem to have any more. Even time with her men seemed to be at a premium. There was always someone or something that needed dealing with that stole her attention.
She knocked on the inside of the door, signalling to the guards outside that she was unlocking it and coming back
