The days turned into weeks, and Emily found herself working even closer with Alex on the marketing campaign. Their dinner meeting had left her feeling intrigued and slightly confused. She couldn't help but wonder if Alex had felt the same spark she had.

One morning, as she arrived at the office, Alex called her into his office. "Emily, I have a proposal for you," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I'm hosting a charity gala next weekend, and I'd like you to be my guest."
