Slavery Laws Growing in Popularity
by Charlotte Eaker
Special to the Chicago Daily News, 4 July 2027. On the tenth year of the Supreme Court’s decision to permit legalization of slavery as punishment for crime and as a voluntary contractual relationship, slavery has become a part of everyday culture.
From cheap household help to exotic s*x toys for all tastes, it’s easy to see how the everyday acceptance of new-style slavery has affected every part of our culture.
It remains a source of continued irony that the legalization of slavery was originally part of the late 20th century religious conservative movement’s agenda to restore shame as a method of punishment to American jurisprudence. President of Cordell Enterprises Archer Cordell was unavailable, recovering from a slight illness. Jordan Byrd, co-founder of DaVinci-Byrd, had become Countess deviance’s slave after a conviction for financial fraud; she acquired his company and other assets in a lawsuit.
Analysts believe the merger will successfully leverage the strengths of the two companies, though a few sources suggest that tensions between the two partners (as well as the Countess’ previous moves to turn business partners into slaves) may threaten the deal.
Minor partners include a number of Asian investors…
