**Amal's P.O.V**
I served my self a little of the rice before putting the the kidney sauce just my favourite and poured some water in my cup before finally turning to face "him".
And my heart skipped a bit.
*************
I then turned to look at Salim but was met with two pears of cold brown eyes. He was staring at me intensely which made me scared. His eyes held some cold emotion that made cold shivers run down my body but we still didn't break our gaze. I was lost in his eyes. It held some kind of emotion I couldn't read.
I broke the stare looking down shyly as I realized what we just did making him come back to his senses too.
I took a quick glance at everyone and I sighed in relieved seeing know one noticed. I turned to Aisha and she was giving me her knowing look. Oh this girl she never misses anything. I smiled innocently at her which she returned with a smirk before going back to my food.
After dinner I, Aisha and Fatiyyah headed upstairs to Fatiyyah's room to pray isha while the men went to the mosque.
"This is the bathroom you can shower if you want" she said.
"Yeah I was just thinking of doing that" I replied sarcastically.
"Will you just get in and perform your wudhu and stop talking nonsense". That was Aisha.
"Hey I wasn't talking nonsense"I defended.
"Yes you were" she replied.
"No I wasn't".
And that was how we started our usual argument which was stopped by Fatiyyah.
"Hey guys stop, that's not a topic to argue on, really you are all wasting your time arguing like five year old kids. You should go and pray before they all come back from the mosque" said Fatiyyah making us turn to her.
"Did you just call us kids?" Aisha asked with her hands akimbo.
"Nope" Fatiyyah replied sarcastically popping the 'p'.
"Better, pray and let's do something fun like 20 questions to get to know each other better before they come back." She said pushing me towards the bathroom.
Aisha and Fatiyyah didn't pray as it was their time of the month so I was the odd one out. After praying we played 20 questions and chatted teasing me at some point before Abba announced it was time to leave.
They all escorted us out and we said our goodbyes before leaving.
Their house was really fun and now I have a new friend. Did I tell you that we go to the same university, yeah Fatiyyah goes to BUK, faculty of law, but it's miraculous that we've never met even in the hostel or the shops when they come for some lectures at old site.
It was already 11pm when I entered my room so l just changed to my comfy pajamas with a turban cap before rocking the bed and was driven to la..la...land.
*************
I creased my eyes shut when the light rays of the sun entering the room from the peak of the curtains hit my eyes jolting me awake.
I stood up and did my morning routine before putting on my red and black Ankara gown with a black veil, black flats and my black LV bag. Putting my phone and car key in the bag, I sprayed my perfume and took my books before dashing out of the room.
I went to ummah's side to greet my dad and her before driving to Aisha's crib. Ummah and I are now on good terms since when I took Haifa to school, she has been really nice to me due to some reasons which I don't know. The woman is strange she even scares me sometimes with her change of attitude. Today she would be nice but it would be the complete opposite the next day.
I pulled-up in front of Aisha's crib to tug her into going to lectures. After a lot of 'you will fail', 'I'll report you to mama', 'you are not serious' blah blah blah she finally bulged in. She doesn't like going for Dr Jabir's lectures for some silly excuses so she stays at home when ever we had his lectures and would copy my jottings but today I'm not going to let her stay so I'm here to disturb her life until she agrees and now my job is done.
"OK we're running out of time. Let's go" I said receiving a glare from Aisha. After what she calls her makeup session she finally got ready and we were out of the house by 10:15.
I was driving at a high speed so that we don't miss our lecture while chatting in the car with Aisha.
"Keh were is your husband?" I asked her.
"How many times do I have to tell you he's not my husband yet. We have four months left."she replied.
"It's still the same." I said trying to annoy her.
"No it isn't"
"yes it is" I replied.
"Ehen Amal" Aisha called my name suddenly remembering something.
"What happened between you and Salim yesterday?" She asked after getting my attention. I was hoping that she forgets but now everything has turned back to square one.
"Just forget since you don't trust me anymore." She said jolting me out of my thoughts.
"No! I trust you but it's just that I don't have an idea about yesterday too." I said not having an idea of what happened yesterday.
"Like seriously?" She asked not believing me which I didn't reply.
"So tell me how you felt when he was staring at you." She asked.
"Lost. It seems like he'll kill me anytime soon" I replied before parking at the parking lot in front of our lecture hall.
"let's go we have 3 minutes left." I said getting out of the car.
After the lecture we decided to go to the cafeteria and grab something to eat as we were hungry and guess who we met.
Fatiyyah! There she was seated all alone with all her attention on her phone.
"Hey" I said approaching her
"OMG! I never thought I'll meet you here." She said as dramatic as she could be.
"We came to grab something to eat when I noticed you, wanna go eat outside?" I asked her.
"Yeah why not but I told Ya Salim to come pick me let me tell him you'll drop me home".
She said before making a call.
"Now let's go" she said dragging Aisha's hand.
"Hey don't make me fall down, you're dragging me" complained Aisha making a funny face.
We went to downtown and placed our orders before sitting in the waiting area. We chatted which was really fun and talked about a cute couple sitting opposite us him making her blush all the time and was smiling.
"Aren't they just adorable?" Aisha asked more of whispered.
"Yeah, How I would like to have a caring husband we would love each other". Fatiyyah said day dreaming of her prince charming. Soon our order was brought and the day went on with them filling my ears with how their husbands would look and love them.
We were all full to the bream by the time we finished. I dropped them home before heading home too.
