Many hours later the session was interrupted, and the king was asked to return the next day. That evening Antonia had to resort to all her sweetness as a mother to force the king to sleep and, to make sure he didn't cheat, she remained close to him almost all night. Luigi was tired, too tired to really rest; but he knew he had to at least try if he wanted to arrive the next morning with a minimum of mental clarity.
