Chapter 7: A Visit Of Death

    I looked around to see what happened. There are fires around me. Just where did the explosion came from.

    "He-hey! Your arms are bleeding!"

    Ahllen cried. I checked my left and right arm. The debris that came from the explosion hit my left arm. I tried to move but my vision started to be blurry and I fell down the ground.

    I came back to my senses and I saw my life with my family. We are having fun in a park. I liked that part. But something is weird. We didn't did this before. In fact, I would usually be at home when it's holiday.

    I woke up and saw Ahllen looking worried. I checked my arm and it has cloth tied around it.

    "Let's go. We don't have much time before the night comes."

    Rias said. I feel like I'm causing a lot of problem in this group. I should do something for them not to regret me coming here.

    We started moving again. The car that exploded is still burning. Around it was full of fire.

    After some time, we're still checking for a vehicle. This is our only hope to reach the place. We won't want reaching night time in the middle of the road.

    I checked a car behind a tree. It looks like in a good condition. I should ask Ahllen for help.

    "Hey. This car looks fine."

    "Let me try picking on that one."

    From a distance, noises can be heard. It was a weird sound. I think it came from the zombies.

    "A horde of zombies is about to attack us! Try to make that work!"

    Rias shouted. Ahllen started to panic as he's trying to pick the lock of the car. We had no choice but to make it work. We need to escape this area.

    "Let's hold some of them!" Rias shouted.

    We run towards the horde. I pushed some of them by kicking. One of them grabbed my foot and I fell down the ground. I reached for a stone and hit it in it's head.

    The zombie fainted for a second. But, it came back even though it's face is crashed.

    "The car is working!"

    Ahllen shouted. I immediately stood up, run back to the car and reached for the door handle. I went on the back part of the car.

    "Let's go!"

    Rias shouted. Ahllen on the other hand, had his hands to steering wheel. He pushed the gas pedal to make the car move.

    "Crap! It's not working!"

    "What?!"

    Ahllen kept on kicking the gas pedal. I looked at the left to check on the zombies. Slowly, they are getting near. I checked around to see if I could use any weapon to protect us. In luck, I saw a crowbar. I immediately grabbed it and prepared to hit and zombies that might try to stop the car.

    Suddenly, I haven't realized that a zombie already manage to get into the right side of the car's back window. Its half body already got inside and it's trying to grab me.

    Luckily, the car started to move a little. The zombie was then caught up with the car. Slowly, it fell on the ground when the car stopped all of a sudden. Ahllen is still trying to make the car move though when it move, it would eventually stop afterwards.

    "Just a little more!"

    Ahllen kicked the gas pedal again. This time, it started to work normally. We manage to escape the horde and so, I rested on my sit. Everything is fine for now. I wonder why that zombie I hit earlier still moves...

    "It must have the strength of a Mutant Zombie."

    We looked at Rias. Thinking what she said. She must be talking about the zombie I tried to kill earlier.

    "I mean the zombie you tried to hit with the stone."

    Rias explained herself. Everything went normal. We got lucky that the car worked. Though, the smell inside is disgusting. But at least we have something to ride on.

    Time passed and we reached the place. There were fences that blocks the main building. Luckily, there was a hole which leads inside.

    "Let's go inside. Stay alert for possible dangers."

    We passed through the fence and checked out the building. We searched for any possible entrance. I found out a metal door which is a little bit open.

    "We could enter the building using this door."

    I immediately called for the others and we went straight inside. Dead bodies scattered around. Some soldiers didn't made it. The place looks like a mess. I can't imagine this.

    "Let's stick together."

    Rias said. I guess that's a better thing to do. We don't know if there are anyone or zombies around here.

    While we are walking, I heard some weird gunshots. It doesn't have the same sound as what we have before. I tried to figure out where the sound is located.

    "The sound is coming from that room." I said while pointing my fingers to the door.

    "Let's go."

    We slowly entered the room. It was really a mess. A zombie is having its time devouring a human. The guy was screaming until he can't do it anymore. Slowly, the person seems out of breath and just being eaten by the zombie. Next to him was a gun. It looks different from the others.

    "Could it be that gun is the one we're looking for?"

    I asked. If that was the one we're looking for, then that means Rias's gamble was just fine. We'll just have to deal with the zombie first.

    "Yeah. Let's get it."

    As we're about to get near the zombie, someone opened the door and entered the room.

    We looked behind in shock. The person what appeared was a woman wearing a white robe. She seems to be a scientist of some kind.

    "Who are you?!"

    I asked. This could be trouble if she has a bad intention to us. Maybe she's after the gun the same as us.

    "Get out here."

    The woman said. She looks serious while her eyes was just looking straight. I'm pretty sure she's after the gun.

    I heard Ahllen breath and started talking "We're not leaving here. Can't you see? You're outnumbered."

    "And besides, we got here first."

    I added to avoid more trouble. We could just talk it over if that woman is an understanding person. If things turned into worse, we'll just have to deal with her.
