"Dad it is AMAZING!" I yell out as he smiles at me. "Wait till your mom comes here, better be as excited to her about this place as you are to me since she is the one finding it in the first place haha" he says to me, giving me a stern look.
"Now how about we take a look inside and you can check out your rooms" he said as I c****d my head to the side. "Uhm, did you just say rooms, as in multiple rooms?" I asked him. "Well yeah babygirl, this house has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living area" he says giggling to my face as I start to turn on my heels...
We walk into the house, it feels quite warm, no chills down my spine, which is good since I didn't like our previous house. I always kept my bedroom door open, since I had chills and couldn't shake it off. My mom always felt the same, so we lived there for nearly 6 months. Both of us had a feeling we were being watched, so we were happy that my dad told us he found a new job and we had to move. Usually I hated to move, because we moved a lot when I was younger, but this time I was more then excited for this new start. We just had Christmas break, so in a week or so I have to go to a new school, which is something I don't look forward to at all. I shrug my shoulders, pushing the thoughts of school to the back of my head, knowing I still have about a week till I need to start.
As my father leads me up the stairs, we go to the left, "Babygirl, this is going to be our side of the floor. We have our bedroom here, as well as an office for me and one for you mom and our own bathroom." As he turns on his heels, leading me to the right of the floor, "This is your own side of the house, babygirl, here you have your own bedroom and bathroom and the other room you can do with it as you please" he says as my vision starts to get a bit blurry and I give him one of my signature hugs, "OMG dad, this is more than I could've asked for. Thank you guys so damn much" I tell him while sobbing a bit. Suddenly I feel someones arms around me, when I look up I see my mom hugging me, I never even heard her arrive! "Mom, Dad, thank you so damn much, I love you and I don't even know how to thank you guys!" My mom starts laughing and tells me "Wait till you see our last suprise!" as she kisses my cheek.
What else could they actually have in store now?!
We walk to the garages, there are 2 of them, my mom gets a clicker, and starts opening one of the doors. Both my parents are smiling and my eyes grew wide even more then they've ever been.
"Are you f*cking kidding me? Are you for real?!" I shout as I see a Jeep with a gigantic bow around it.
"Well we thought you might need to move around by yourself, so we got you a Jeep" my mom says, as my dad has his arm around her waist.
"Thank you guys so damn much!" and I start sobbing once again. Both my parents are laughing at me this time. But then we heared a truck coming on the territory, the movers finally arrived and mom rans over to guide the stuff to the right places. I walk the stairs up to my bedroom and see all the walls are white, which isn't my kind of thing. Dad coughs behind me, "Well what kind of colors should we get to make it your room babygirl?" he asks. I think hard, for some reason I always feel attracted to blueish colors, so I c**k my head, "How about a baby blue color, and the wall opposite of my bed side night blue?" I ask him, knowing if I paint a wall black my mother's going to kill me. "Sounds good enough to me" he says and signals me to follow him downstairs.
"Mary, what colors are you going to paint the bedroom in?" she askes me, giving me a stern look. I know exactly why she askes me, last time didn't go as planned when I decided to get 3 colors and just trew 'em up against the wall.
"Well baby blue and 1 wall night blue" I say to her as I walk out to the porch grabbing a cigarette. "Wonderful!" she says in excitement. "The other room, I think I'm letting it stay for now, I think I'm going to place my desk there and make some kind of chill room of it mom. What do you think?" I say as she sits down with me on the porch. "Well, are you planning on making actually friends this time?" she says as she giggles and I give her my signature b***h look. "Ha-Ha mom, really funny" I said to her, knowing she actually has a point there... I sigh, well then let's get some paint and see what's in store for me the next week...
Dad and I drive through town to pick up the paint for my room and theirs as well. Mom gave my dad very good instructions so he knows exactly what to buy. As we drive I noticed we pass Grey Meadows Highschool. "Dad, is that my new school?" I ask him pointing to the school. "Yes babygirl, your mom and I think you would fit in here just perfectly" he says. I dont know why he says it, but I just put it to the back of my mind. We pick up the paint, got ourselves an ice cream and we were meeting people who are walking through town.
As we pass by the bookstore, I ran into a girl, s**t I think to myself. I help the girl get up, suspected to be scolded at, but she looks at me with large grey eyes, "Sorry! I didn't see you, I'm a bit clumpsy" she said "Hi Im Alexandra, but please call me Alex. You are Mary right?" I was surprised. "Uhm yeah, hi, so how do you know me already?" I ask her, still looking at Alex, but at least I managed to smile a bit. "Well, I'm the one supposed to guide you through school next week, so the headmaster told me a bit about you. You're not really a girly girl, are you?" she said with a sincere smile. My dad just stands there holding back his laughter. "Nah not really" I say as I shake my head. "Well good, cause neither am I and I've been dying to meet you. My brother and our friends as well! I think you're going to fit in just fine!" she says, "Well how about we meet up Monday at 8.15 at school?" she continued. I gave her a genuine smile and actually got excited "Sure! Sounds good! See you then!" I said as dad and I walk to the car and head home.
