Veronica scoffed.

"Rebecca? you attended Yale university didn't you? 2023 set? you're a fucken lesbian b***h", Veronica announced.

Rebecca became uneasy.

"I know she's a lesbian, do you have a problem with it?", I defended immediately.

"She's going after your money, she's a fucken gold digger", Veronica said.

"And you're not?", I asked.

She sighed, "I've told you this for a million times already Sebastian, they were for a show, you're the only one I actually loved".

"And Asher? was he for a show?", I asked.

She sighed, I was horny and frustrated okay? I'm sorry, he was an accident, I promise.

You know you actually love me, not all these fake women you have around you here that just clearly want money, we can go back to how things were,I promise, we can Make this work, please ", she shameless begged.

"Asher", I called.

"Please escort this woman out ", I said.

"Yes sir", he said and pulled Veronica out of the room.

"Don't you dare touch me, Rebecca I will make your life hell, I promise you that, you fucken -".

"That's enough Veronica, get out", I ordered.

She reluctantly followed Him out.

"I'm sorry about her and her outburst", I apologized to Rebecca.

"No it's fine uhm, I'm beginning to have double thoughts about the whole thing", she said sounding nervous.

"Why? because of her threats? she won't do anything".

"No you don't get it she will, she knows my parents, we attended college back then and, she walked in on me in a party making out with this girl, she made me seem normal I guess, she said it was fine and it was our little secret, she was nicer then, I started liking her and all.

I told her and her reaction shocked me. She had started changing then and started hanging out with cool people, she told me she was going to expose me, and there's no big deal there honestly, I mean everyone's a lesbian these days. But she knew my parents would flip and even stop sponsoring my college so, I turned into her slave, did everything she asked me to do for her.

I made her pass college, I did all her assignments and gosh it was terrible, until we graduated and I heard she changed countries and now here we are".

I held her hands, "Trust me, she's not gonna do anything. You're my Fiancee now, soon to be wife, no one's gonna believe her, they'll just think she's jealous and lying because we broke up, your secret is safe with me, trust me ", I said.

She's brightened up a bit.

"Thank you ", she said.

"I should thank you, you're literally the one saving me right now from that psychopath and my parents ".

She finished our dinner in a much better mood.

I asked my driver to drop her off safely at her house.

"How did your fate go?", Asher asked.

I don't know what is but, there's something about this man, something I haven't felt in years. He's so different.

I would have thought it was because I was his boss or something, but right from the moment I saw him in Veronica's house, he's been the same way, he's very charming.

Sometimes it's hard to concentrate when he's around.

I want to make a move, but I think it's too early. And I don't think he'll want that.

And I don't want to scare him away, after all that's what happened between him and Veronica and look where that got us?

He's really attractive , he's got short blonde hair with green eyes and an amazing muscular body.

"I guess I've got my wife", I said.

"Well that's good news, at least I get to see Veronica less often", Asher said.

"Honestly, she's becoming a pain in the ass, I'm tired of her, she should just move on and stop making this look like it's our fault she cheated or something", I said.

"Definitely, I'm happy for you sir, congratulations", he said.

I chuckled, "Finally I can focus on my company in peace".

"But quick question though, not that I'm nosy or anything but, you said something about you not wanting to settle down yet, why is that? I mean don't you want to settle down with someone finally? like your own person?".

I couldn't tell him I was attracted to men more and used my reckless s*x life as an excuse to cover it up.

And I couldn't tell him that I found him attractive either.

"I wanted to settle down with Veronica, look where that got me?".

"True, but then Veronica is a crazy person, they're other good people out there", he said.

"Well until I find one of those good people, I guess I'll have to manage ", I said.

He nodded.

"What about you? any woman in your life?", I asked him.

"Oh no, I've been with her for the past two years, or maybe I thought so. She really wrecked my mental health, I think I'm going to stay away from women for now and focus on work", he said

Good, focus on me.

For a moment there I thought I was going to have to plan an assassination or something.

"Okay well that's good, I have to go and catch my flight with my friends, we're going to Washington for Stephanie's birthday tomorrow, I'll be back on Monday morning", I said.

"Do I need to join you or?".

"No it's fine, take the weekend off".

"Are you sure sir?".

"Yes, I'll be fine, you've been working since you got here, go see your family and have some fun", I Said.

"Alright sir, thank you".

"Sure thing", I said and went up to my room to get the necessary shits I needed.

One of the reasons I didn't want Asher with me was because I was Really needed space from him. I don't like the thoughts I'm getting when I'm around him, I think I'm slipping .

Veronica actually fumbled this man? she's insane.

I think I get why she chose me and the other dude, we're for money and I think Asher's the one she actually likes, can't blame her, he's effortlessly charming.
