The Alpha’s Rejected Luna

She was chosen by the Moon Goddess… then thrown away by the one she loved most.

On what was meant to be the happiest day of her life, Arya is humiliated before her entire pack—rejected by her mate, Alpha Kade, at the altar… and betrayed by her own sister.

Stripped of her title, her bond, and her future, Arya flees—heartbroken, furious, and lost.

But the Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes.

In exile, Arya discovers a truth buried in her bloodline… a dormant power feared even by Alphas. And when destiny calls again, it won’t be as a Luna begging for love—it will be as a storm.

Kade made one fatal mistake: he let her go.

Now, Arya’s back. Stronger. Wilder. Unforgiving.

*Will she rise as their salvation… or their reckoning?*

*A gripping tale of betrayal, hidden strength, and second chances—for fans of fated mates, rejected love, and fierce heroines who don’t stay broken for long.*

CHAPTER 1; THE WEDDING DAY
The early morning sun poured gently through the tall arched windows of the Luna Quarters, casting a golden glow across the room. Soft beams kissed the lace-trimmed gown hanging on the far wall—white, ethereal, and impossibly delicate. It looked like something out of a dream. *My* dream. I stood before the full-length mirror, fingers trembling slightly as the maids fastened the final pearl clasps along my back. The gown fit like a second skin—flowing satin, embroidered with the runes of unity and blessing, each one stitched by the pack’s seer for “fertility, love, and strength.” Strength. I smiled faintly at the irony. “Do you like it, Lady Arya?” one of the maids asked shyly. I nodded, smoothing a hand over the bodice. The room bustled around me—maids arranging flowers, adjusting veils, lighting candles with trembling reverence. I could hear the faint music drifting up from the ceremonial grounds. The entire Silverclaw Pack was gathered below, awaiting the union of their Alpha and his chosen Luna. My heart fluttered, not with nerves—but with the weight of *expectation*. Today, I would be bonded in the eyes of the Moon Goddess. I would become Luna—leader, protector, and mate. I reached for the silver locket lying in its velvet case—the one Kade had given me on our one-year anniversary. Inside was a pressed moonflower, and a note in his handwriting: *“To my mate, my equal, my future.”* I closed my eyes, clutching it to my chest. *He chose me. He loves me. Today is proof.* Still… something whispered at the edges of my mind. A flicker of cold. A quiet warning. I shook it off. “Not today,” I whispered to my reflection. “Today is the beginning.” A soft knock at the door. It was my mother. She stepped in slowly, her eyes already wet with emotion. “You look just like your grandmother did on her Luna day,” she said, voice catching. “Radiant. Proud. Unbreakable.” “It’s beautiful.” Her words wrapped around me like a blessing. I swallowed the tightness in my throat and hugged her gently, careful not to wrinkle the gown. “I wish Dad were here,” I said softly. She nodded. “He would’ve been proud. Kade is a good Alpha.” I smiled, even as a strange heaviness pressed against my chest. Then came the call from outside the door: *“It’s time.”* The maids scattered, clearing the path. My veil was placed over my head like a crown of light. I stood tall, heart pounding, the sound of drums rising from below. Today was the day. *My Luna day.* And I had no idea that it would also be the day.......I lost everything I can still hear the drums. Even now, long after the veil fell and the petals turned to ash in my memory, that rhythm lives in my bones. Slow. Steady. Like a heartbeat. Like a warning. *Then...* The ceremonial grounds were silent, save for the thump of war drums echoing across the trees. The pack stood in neat rows—warriors in uniform, elders cloaked in white, children perched on shoulders to catch a glimpse of their Luna. Of me. My veil fluttered gently with the breeze as I took the first step down the aisle. The path was lined with moonstones and wildflowers—symbols of fertility, strength, and loyalty. I kept my eyes fixed forward, toward the altar where Kade stood in his ceremonial black, framed by the golden sigils of the Silverclaw Alpha line. From across the sacred stone circle, Kade—Alpha of the Silverclaw Pack, my mate—stood with his back turned to me, speaking softly to my younger sister, Lira. They were too close. Her fingers lingered on his wrist. She laughed, lightly, like nothing in the world could touch her. Her golden hair caught the light, her dress a deep wine red—the same color worn by the Alpha’s inner circle. She wasn’t part of the ceremony. She shouldn’t have been anywhere near the altar. A cold weight settled in my chest. I walked steadily, though my palms were damp. My mother wept softly beside me. I heard a whisper—“She’s so graceful,”—and another—“She’ll make a strong Luna.” I should have felt proud. Instead, my wolf stirred uneasily beneath my skin. As I reached the final step, Kade extended his hand. I hesitated for half a second before placing mine in his. His grip was firm. Too firm. No warmth. The officiant began the rite, invoking the Moon Goddess. The crowd bowed their heads in reverence. Just as the drums sounded to begin the rite, a warrior stepped forward—Commander Talon, the Alpha’s second-in-command. His face was tight, unreadable, but his eyes flicked toward me with something like pity. He raised his voice. “By decree of Alpha Kade of Silverclaw, the Luna ceremony is hereby nullified. The mating bond is broken. The Alpha—rejects his mate.” Silence. Then gasps. Murmurs. Shouts. I couldn’t breathe. “What did he say?” “Rejected?” “She’s the chosen Luna—what’s happening?!” I didn’t move. I stared at Kade, hoping—*praying*—that this was a mistake. A cruel misunderstanding. But he turned then, slowly, and faced me. His eyes—once soft and filled with promise—were now hard as stone. The altar blurred. My world collapsed. Not in chaos—but in slow, quiet betrayal. Kade’s voice—once my anchor—cut like ice: “I’ve found my true mate.” Lira’s hand found his. Their fingers laced together like something *rehearsed.* And I—dressed like a queen—was left standing in front of a throne I would never sit on.
